Thread: Tent hire

    Default Tent hire

    G'day folks

Making my first Coachella visit - all the way from Sydney Australia.

It is probably a stupid question for you regular Coachella folks, but can I hire a tent there? It would be a hassle carting a tent from here to USA and back. Or does the $45 cover a tent also.

If not, can anyone suggest a local hire place that would be able to assist.

Couldn't find this on the camping FAQ's - little help?

    Thanks folks

    Dave

camping pass does not include a tent....you either bring one, or sleep on the grass

If you're flying into Los Angeles, Adventure 16 is a good local store that offers tent and sleeping bag rentals. They're very helpful, too -- it's where I get all my hiking equipment.

That said, it would probably be cheaper to just buy a crappy tent at a megastore like Target or Kmart.

Exactly what I was going to say. If you're only looking for a tent for that weekend head to one of the big chain retail stores we have over here like Wal-mart of Target, they have good deals on stuff.

You can also buy a tent at the general store.

Thats pretty cool, but what if you get there and they've run out of tents, your a bit fooked then aren't you.

And how much would they cost?

I'm not sure what airport you are flying in to, but if you are flying into Palm Springs, there are 3 Target's between the airport and the grounds, one of them is bound to still have tents, etc. We're bringing the gear and stopping there for water and wine...the essentials.
