Neither of these bands are from the UK. MBV are from Dublin and The Talking Heads are from New York.

I would love all 5 of these. But I think The Verve will be there for sure.

Northern Ireland is a part of the UK, but yea you're right, MBV is from Dublin (not a part of the north), my mistake.

And I could have sworn someone told me that TH were from England or the UK, and I just said "ok" and never finished my homework. my mistake again.

David Byrne was born in Scotland, but that's as close as it gets.

    LOL @ the Oasis voters

Yeah, why have a rare performance from a band with actual talent (all the other choices) when we can instead see Oasis perform all their identical Beatles cover albums live! Awesome!

This statement shows that you haven't really listened to Oasis.

hi everyone. i just joined after almost two years of "lurking". none of those bands listed in the poll particularly excites me, but if i had to choose it would be The Verve.

but if I had my choice of UK bands, i would choose The Charlatans UK. have they ever played coachella before?

Don't think so. I have only heard their first album, but I'm sure I would watch them and dig it.

oh, they're fantastic live. i saw them at the HFSestival in 1994 and then at the 9:30 club in DC four years ago. starsailor was the opening act (another UK band i would LOVE to see at coachella!)

OASIS-1st choice. Better live than on CD.
VERVE-2nd choice. Has anyone seen this group live? I am hoping they play in 08.
PULP-3rd choice. 4 eyes had a great set this year. I have no doubt they would rock the main stage.
BLUR-4th choice. I don't think Daman would be interested.
    PRIMAL SCREAM-5th choice. Why not.
STONE ROSES-6th choice. I would only see this band in "karaoke" mode.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

    Agreed... they got my vote.
Oh yeah, and I would also vote for the Charlatans UK.

When was this? I had no idea that happened. I just know that half the bootlegs I have of the Roses are great and the other half Ian doesn't even come close to being in tune.

Damn... Chemical Bros. vs Cake vs (International) Noise Conspiracy would have KILLED me.

I also like how in '02 they didnt tell you what time the band was playing until.

People have the same three (random number) arguments for hating Oasis. It's the same deal with Kanye. It gets really old.
