If that was the case then the smiths would have played years ago! Morrissey and Johnny Marr ARE the smiths and thats exactly why Mike Joyce and Andy Rourke took Morrissey to court. Mozz and Marr have not spoken since the band broke up in 87'

Moz and Marr are on speaking terms, Marr has gone on record lately saying that he would consider playing Smiths songs again, Mike Joyce is a douche who doesn't deserve 25% of royalties, and Morrissey feels like the other members don't deserve the boost in celebrity a reunion would bring since, he feels, that he's the only one who's done anything productive since the band's break up.

And I'm more of a man than you'll ever be.

But yeah, the Smiths wont be happening in 08'.

Well the last time I saw them was at Salford Uni, Manchester in 1986 but their last gig was around 22 December 1988 at Wolverhampton Civic Hall.
