    Default Stone Roses? Puh-leez

Watch ANY clip of them playing live and tell me you'd like to hear him sing. I've said it before and I'll say it again. They should reunite without Ian and let the crowd sing. Check out how awful he was at the Manchester cancer show until he stepped back and let thousands of people sing the chorus of I Am The Ressurection. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Adx3wLFDU9M I saw a Roses tribute band in Scotland and you couldn't hear the singer because everyone was singing....and then Mani hopped up and played She Bangs The Drums. Yikes.

I've seen Ian sing on many occasions, to varying degrees of success. It seems to be really dependent on the stage mix, and how well he can hear himself.

He's now at a point in his career where he's learned to just stop the band and redo the mix right there on the stage, rather than warble out of key.

I saw him twice on his last tour.. Once he was downright terrible, and the other I'd say at about 80%.

I saw him only once on his current tour.. but he was dead on. He couldn't have sounded any better.

That's the first I've heard anyone say that about him....EVER. I just can't imagine three great musicians chomping at the bit to go out and hope he sounds good, which he never did when they were together.

    Just get Bez to lipsync?

I would pay to see one of their shows if he was to lipsync. Not out of curiousity but for the desire to see this band perform.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

They dropped out of Glastonbury 1995 like losers and Pulp got bumped up to headliner, and the world is a far better place for this.

Portishead/MBV/Stone Roses reunions would be uber coachella. Somehow I think 2/3 won't be too bad though.
