I know Origin and EA sucks and all, but I love SimCity too much and this game looks beautiful:
However - nothing will top the final assault in Fallout 3 for me. Playing support to that mechanical behemoth was one of my favorite gaming moments ever.
Anyhow - I beat BL2 last night. The end wasn't as good as the big moments with Jack and Angel earlier in the game, but it was cool. Some of it was really difficult alone.... frustrating. But if you play single player, you can approach the side missions with your own schedule and do what you want when you want to, as opposed to rushing through this or that because some other dude needs to go get dinner. And I admit I found a crevasse to snipe the big baddie from a mile away, rather than just getting my ass handed to me 50 times in a row. Then I went back in with three random onliners and crushed it in one try. Go figure. BL1 was way harder with others than BL2 is.
I don't know what I'm playing next, but this game was extremely satisfying.
Found out on Friday that one of my favorite games from PSX days is on the PSN, Parasite Eve. I installed it to my Vita and spent the weekend going through it. It came out about a year after Final Fantasy 7 so it has a great mix between the gameplay and look of FF7 and FF8. As with most great Squaresoft games the soundtrack is classic as well.
No online play but a huge library that wil be super cheap, possibly play some gamecube games too if you get an old enough one

Has anyone played Retro City Rampage yet?
I'm going to download it tonight, based off what I've heard:
In anticipation for the new Simcity, I bought Simcity 4 off Amazon. The deluxe version was about $15. I had never played this one, and I think it's pretty amazing.
I've learned that I probably wouldn't make a good mayor, governor, or president. My solution to balancing the budget is to build factories everywhere. Understanding that Obama doesn't have the option of zoning for factories because of their being outsourced makes me appreciate the difficulty of his job.
Is anyone utilizing smart glass? How is it? Worth downloading?
Why might my PS3 be able to connect to PSN, but not to the Black Ops server? I accidentally kicked it a few days ago while walking past it. It wasn't on but Black Ops was in it.
I'm already missing the Playstation All Stars Beta, can't wait for the full game.
Halo 4 vs. black ops 2? Which one will be better? I have never played any of the halo series.
So I'm enjoying Assassin's Creed 3 so far... but one thing I have to say...
the lock picking mechanic was designed by someone who wants to be held down and force fed an entire bag of dicks!
Pretty sure supre isn't a game developer.
Skyrim on the 360 burned a persistent image into my older JVC DLP TV. It's actually several images but the most pronounced is where my character is positioned on the screen. I'm going to put in a new lamp tomorrow but my guess is the shadowing is permanent. Kinda bummed about it but I guess I was looking for an excuse to buy a new LED/LCD.
PS: SKYRIM- I'd like my life back! kthx

Upgrading my computer and in the process I realized I can slap an extra fan on the other side of cpu heatsink. Nerding out at how big it is now.
Time for super FPS with Mechwarrior Online and BF3!
