And this, I dont even know.
And this, I dont even know.
Not even a glimmer of smash bros. And they never mentioned or used the pro controller. 3ds seems to have a solid lineup coming out though. And yeah, pikmin 3.
The Last of Us was the highlight of E3 for me. It does seem like a bunch of quick time events (although, the QTEs of Uncharted never bothered me), but I like video game fighting that feels haphazard and desperate. The gameplay video sort of reminds me of Condemned 2: Bloodshot, which handled combat very well -- probably the best melee combat I've played. I am really looking forward to this game.
Otherwise, the only new things that interested me were Pikmin 3, Scribblenauts Unlimited, New Super Marios Bros. 2, and Super Mario Bros. U. Pikmin 3 was cool, I thought -- even though I have never played the others before -- because I think it uses the gamepad very well. I posted just the other day that I think the gamepad could lend itself to strategy games very well, and Pikmin 3 seems to take advantage of that. It also looked very beautiful... I really like Scribblenauts games, but to be honest, I also get bored of them fairly quickly. I wonder if multiplayer will help that. I was kind of hoping this game would be 3D, but it looks pretty cool still, and I'm glad it is also happening on the 3DS... As for the new Mario games for Wii-U and 3DS: I'm always a fan of those 2D ones that are throwbacks to the classic Mario games. I don't really know how much I care about the social aspects of the Wii-U, but with or without that, these should be good games.
The Last of Us just looks like another Uncharted with a different skin (obviously)...not bad, but I've played 3 Uncharted games now, a little bored of it. And the Wii U looks stupid (just as I said last year).
Regarding those tablets, I love the poll on gamefaqs right now. I realize that the video game market exists outside of those that visit gamefaqs, but the sheer numbers of the poll results only reflect what I thought should be obvious to everyone.
i was hoping that the new super mario for wii u would be like 64/sunshine/galaxy. oh well.
The girl in The Last of Us kinda looks like Ellen Page too wtf. But damn that game looks awesome.
I came here to post the same thing as Elmo. I can't wait for Watch Dogs. Reminds me of an open world Deus Ex.
Pretty happy with the free games Sony gave to PS+ users
unfortunately you must continue to suscribe to PS+ to use them...
That deal was way too good to pass up, especially when I have LBP2 and inFamous 2 just lying around and Best Buy is running a +100% trade in promotion. Traded in those games and essentially got PS+ for a year for half off, and I still get to play them both. I'll take that.
Besides, as a Vita owner I was hoping to get some free minis or something to increase the value of that device.
seemed pretty standard to me. i think there are a lot of great new IPs being developed and for once this didn't feel like they were just announcing a bunch of sequels.
The only E3's I ever remember freaking out over were the ones when new hardware was announced.
Besides that the conferences are for investors and the like. Its a lot more of what sells then what is great. I'm excited for quite a few things coming along but it didnt change my world.
I will say though - Last of Us, Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs, Watch Dogs, MGS: Revengence, Beyond, and Dishonored are all potential buys for me (and of course The Last Guardian, which was no where to be seen or heard from).
The status of Fumito Ueda even being involved anymore is up in the air, in turn so is the games future.
