    New GTA V trailer:

Honestly, I'm not that excited for this game. GTA 4 sucked IMO, and I never even finished San Andreas...I feel like you've played one GTA, you've played them all. This one might have a few more bells and whistles, but eh. There are other games next year I'm more excited about, including Beyond, Revengeence, and Last of Us (assuming that one comes out in 2013).

I've had a copy of Skyrim for almost a year now. I avoided putting it into my 360 because I knew once I did, my life would be handed over to the game. I finally started playing it over the weekend. I was right...damn, I hooked.

so, I bought a new 360 and got it yesterday. yay!

I had/have one of the really old ones and I bought a kinect for it last year after not playing it for a couple years, but within a week or so of hooking up the kinect, I got the dreaded RRoD. so now I have the new one but I can't sign in to my account because I forgot the email associated... I did the towel trick last night and got signed in to my account on the old 360 but then I had to do the software update and it rebooted back to a RRoD so I couldn't get the info I needed. hopefully after work today I can get back into it and figure out the email I used so that I can start playing again!

I enjoyed GTA IV but it wasn't what I was hoping for. I really liked all of the bells and whistles that San Andreas had to offer, I was hooked to that game. I was hoping that Rockstar would keep going in that direction and give you a city full of sub plots, missions, gang wars, properties, challenges, just general stuff to waste time besides trying to see how long you can outlast the police. IV was just a glossy and shallow version of III basically with friends, outfits, and better voice acting.

Read some of the articles for V. It seems like they're treating this one a whole lot differently than IV.

Sounds like a cross between San Andreas and IV. You'll be able to switch between 3 characters.

I hope they implement the drug dealing mechanic from Chinatown Wars. It was so simple, yet so genius.

Hopefully it doesn't get pushed back, both Tomb Raider and Aliens: Colonial Marines were set to be released well...now. They are both coming out within the first quarter of '13 thankfully! I hope Last of Us isn't The Drake games with new skins and a girl to follow you

I'm sure The Last of Us will be quite similar to the Uncharted series in that we'll maneuver our way through beautiful sets, use quicktime events in some intense action sequences, and enjoy very quality acting (as far as video games go, and even many summer blockbusters). I just hope that the combat comes off as messy and desperate as it looks in the previews we've seen.

If there's anything I look forward to in a video game, it's definitely quality acting.

Have you ever played the Uncharted series? They're movies, man. Everything's acted out and motion captured on a set. That's part of the reason why the games are so cool.

No, It kind of looks like assassin's creed to me. Which I haven't played any of those either. Those kind arn't my kind of game.

    Planetside 2 is kinda fun.

Uncharted is nothing like Assassin's Creed. At all. It has a lot more in common with Tomb Raider.

Also, I really think Uncharted could quite possibly be the first video game to translate into a well made and very fun film. I almost don't understand how there isn't already an Uncharted movie.

My 80GB PS3 died a few days ago. Even though I need an upgrade on the 360 too (old school model, but still working), I went ahead and got the PS3 320GB bundle from Amazon that includes Uncharted 3. Excellent series and getting it included in the deal definitely nudged me on over a new 360. Solves my dying Blu-Ray player issue as well.
