(Rhetorical question: No, other games get patched as well... Starcraft 2 isn't a MMORPG, but they released patches... Skyrim wasn't even a multiplayer game and Bethesda released major patches for it, some for stability, some making major changes in game play)

So anyways. I finally logged on today, I was thrilled to see I wasn't getting the same error message...then all of a sudden....

Then get this, I made my character, killed 6 stupid fucking zombies, then a message pops up "server shut down in 5 minutes"

NO. Absolutely not too much. If I had the extra space and funds, I will replicate that in my home in a heart beat. As much as something like that would lead others to believe I have no life, I would still do that. I honestly only play video games at most 3 days out of the week, a only about 2 hours in each of those days. But I still value video games so very much.

Fuck yeah I believe it is true. It astounds me that people can deny the IT after the long ass youtube vids pointing out every single little and large detail that essentially verifies it.

Are the complaining fans out of hand and dense? I think so, yes.
Did EA/Bioware royally fuck up the ending? Kind of. Even though I support IT, they obviously made some poor business decisions if the backlash and repercussions have been so....intense.

Oh don't get me wrong, I am pretty stoked about the dlc coming our way (SPECIALLY if it confirms IT). I just think that EA/Bioware kinda fucked up...even though I DO appreciate the ending and I DO think the vocal fans are being ridiculous.
In other words, I can understand where the angry fans are coming from. In fact, I very much understand...I just don't agree with the angry fans.

It's 3 choices which all lead to the same brief uninteresting cutscene. Then an immediate "Hey neat job buy DLC" and it dumps you back to the bridge. What about it was satisfying?

If the theory is true, I find it satisfying that instead of some boss battle, or a generic paragon/renegade/balance option ending, they gave us an ending that hinted at the truth if you were paying attention, and there is only one real correct ending to pick. If the theory is true, then the cut scene we saw wasn't real anyway. To me, the ending was not just the cut scene we were left with, but the entire experience following the blast from Harbinger.

It is unfortunate that the ending isn't as developed as I'm sure we all would have liked it to be, but I'm hoping that I will be fully satisfied with how the series ended once we get the Extended Cut DLC.

You seem to see things exactly how I do. The IT thrills me and makes me totally appreciate such a unique final "boss battle" and how it makes the ending of the game SO much more special (you ARE commander shepard and the IT really fucking drives that home).

On the other hand, like Pot said, its a really god damned weak ending in execution. Which is why I said, I completely understand all of the anger and hate.

I gotta say though, never once did I feel compelled to join in on the shit storm of how Bioware OWES us a better ending (even though I do look forward to the upcoming dlc regarding the ending).
