Long shot, but does anybody got tickets to this tonight that would like to part with them?
Great videos, you didn't get Stetson's solo between Holocene and Blood Bank though? I actually went on youtube just to look for that.
Last night's show was simply remarkable. This band keeps raising the bar and then exceeding my expectations. This was, for me, the best show I've seen all year. And Creature Fear is probably one of the best songs I've ever seen performed in a live setting. Simply jaw-dropping.
Anyone have set times for tonights show yet?
Where's Underworld and Mew? Make it happen GV.

Wow last night still has my breath taken last night. The shrine is a perfect venue and this band is just simply incredible. I don't think I've ever seen something like creature feature. There is so much amazing, the only thing I didn't like was they didn't play Beth/rest. But I guess they couldn't do it. I think this is definitely the 5 shows of the year for me.
The placement of the song (Beth/Rest) is tough in general, as seen on ending the album with it. I know it was on the setlist, but For Emma felt right when it was played coming out of the technical difficulties. Justin knew better then to try again and get through it all. That's what made the show special. Everything had a deliberate place and pace. The different atmospheric jamming, lighting effects, Justin playing quieter when the audience felt it time to sing or clap, was all what made it one of the best shows I've seen this year, perhaps in my entire life which is saying more and more every week that goes by. It probably would have been wonderful after a complete Beth/Rest but it felt special having the band retune instruments for it, give eachother strange looks, laugh a bit, and wait for Justin's signal to jam into one of their "classics"
There will be another show of theirs, that we will all attend, and Beth/Rest will have that moment. It doesn't need to be a smear on an impeccable show if you don't treat it as one.
A Chick fight; of all places. Right behind me in the pit.
Ha, I was in the pit and did not see that. Justin makes the ladies do crazy things I suppose.
Gibson was great too. Three shows so far and none of it has gotten old. They played Beth/Rest perfectly tonight and it was actually one of the highlights of the show for me. I love watching Justin geek out on that song. You know that's gotta be his favorite part of the night. Also they fit in Beach Baby tonight. No Bjork. It's been nice getting to see everything. And we got the violin solo tonight which was a nice change from the sax solo. Altho I've seen Andrew Bird and Colm from the Frames both do better violin loop solos. So I wasn't blown away by that. Tonight, tho, had some of my favorite versions of songs so far. Prettiest version of Wash. I've heard yet. And out of the three times I've seen him play Re:Stacks so far, he's messed up twice. Also tonight was the first time I heard the audience clap along to Skinny Love the way the rest of the band does. That was fun. And that was the quietest I've EVER heard a Gibson crowd - during Re:Stacks. In the beginning there was a little bit of "whoop"ing, but by halfway, it was dead silent. I was so impressed with our audience.
Also my brother scored me a set list.
Now on to Portland.... have fun in Berkeley, you folks.
Ooo Beach Baby. Good stuff. Can't imagine not getting Towers though. That's one of my favorites on the new record.
Glad you're enjoying yourself with all these, Tessa.
Really glad we got Towers last night. I get a pretty heavy Arcade Fire vibe when the band kicks in after the intro, which is certainly a good thing.
Hinnom, TX and Creature Fear, wow! Tonight was such a beautiful show.
Edit - Mike Noyce needs his own album.

I totally agree. If Sean freakin Carey and Colin Stetson can get their own albums, Mike Noyce needs to be next.
Not only is he the best part of this video
but also this video
And yeah, was not really a fan of Hinnom until seeing it live. Now it's one of my favorites in their set. So much more powerful than on the album.
I won a free pair of tickets to the Gibson show and it was amazing! I liked different things about each night. Was glad to hear Towers last night and Beach Baby tonight. Also glad to have heard Beth/Rest all the way through. I was waiting for Stetson's sax solo, hoping to record it, then when Rob Moose had his violin solo I realized the sax part wouldn't happen. Still, that was good, although as noted above Andrew Bird does it better.
That was sarcasm, dummy. She meant "who are you" as in, how can you not be in the concert loop anymore.
