I've listened to the album 3 times now, and so far it hasn't failed to make me completely melancholy when I've otherwise had a good day. That's not a bad thing though, there's so much to take in with this album, I feel like I'm just scratching the surface of the layers of the songs.

Oh, and the comparisons of Bon Iver playing somewhere that Arcade Fire did aren't very astute. The Shrine was WAY smaller than almost anywhere else AF played that entire tour, they sold out MSG after all. So you can't really compare the two. The Cure played there in '08 too, but sold out the Hollywood Bowl the night before.

I just had orchestra tickets for the shrine show and then it dumped me and said it was unable to process my request. Now I have to wait "approximately 6 minutes." Kill me.

The Ticketmaster Gods shined on me today. Said to my brother last night, "I'm only going if we pull up awesome tickets. Not driving down there to sit in the back of the place." Until September!

I had FRONT ROW CENTER and it did that to me! good thing I had another window going and snagged Row 14 but I'm still thinking what could have been.

Wow, I guess it makes sense though since Spreckels is so small. Will he add a second Shrine date?

The hipsters need to save up their money so it's taking a little longer to sellout. White people are rich and can buy right away.

Looks like I got shitty seats. Oh well, at least they're in the middle, even if they are way back.

I'm so excited for the Shrine show. Orchestra row 25. I liked the Shrine when I saw AF there back in October, although the acoustics weren't great. That might be because I was on the balcony about 10 rows in front of the back wall. It's kinda funny that I'll be seeing Colin Stetson at the Shrine again, though.

Bon Iver + James Blake = the pussification of the American male is complete

Wrap it up with John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell movies, every beer/hard liquor commercial of the past 10 years and you have the most annoying generation of whiney, 80's scene stealing, boring 'cultured' people the rest of us have to endure.

/fuck off Bon Iver and said fanbase
