Before I posted my new may mix I wanted to do a little follow up to last mouth.

This mix started out as a return to making mixes for me because somebody IRL actually showed an interest in the music I have been into for years, and he seemed pretty clueless on just about everything IDM related. This project expanded and took on some weird issues in the process. I normally make mixes for myself where they jam together and sometimes I just make it one long gapless Mp3. I do this so I can create dense mixes with lots of layers and make it never ending, but since this was a music "showcase" of sorts it wasn't going to work. So what I did was I broke the tracks up, didn't do layers and made a list that works almost like a radio broadcast with segments. This made it easier to skip stuff and kept the annoying gaps from popping up during the songs I was shoving together.

I passed out only about 3 of these on Cd to friends, but I also send a link to a long time friend. I got really great feedback from all of them so it was motivation enough to work on another one for this month. I used to do these strictly for my own entertainment. I have been doing these things since before CDs. I love to make "trip" tapes where I go out of my way to really layer lots of really jacked up stuff with various styles of music. It was nice to kind of share this with people for once.

this is the mother load. 2 hours and 40 minutes of bass, drawing from every set I've played since 2007.
as with everything I put up, there's no pre-programming, no sync-assisted triggering, no compression, no mastering, and no editing. it's one take, as live as a DJ set gets. grab a controller, a laptop, my collection, a six pack each of duggan's and flying monkeys, a big pair of monitors, and have at it. it's not range compressed like your itunes might spit out a ke$sha tune, so you're gonna want some big speakers and a loud amp for this one. this set contains music from as recent as this month to as old as the 40's. BPMs from 115-206 (but mostly the 130s and 140's). tracks and mixes played at venues ranging from ten friends in my living room to hundreds of people in clubs throughout toronto, to ten thousand people behind an illegal parade through the streets of toronto on nuit blanche.
