I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. . . . corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed.
Hunting has been part of our society since the first Europeans came over and shot buffalo and Native Americans and whatnot.

No,but I had a friend who played bass on The Vandals album "When in Rome" and he knew Keith Morris and said he liked smoking pot and listening to "2112" and I was extremely disappointed in him for that(not that there is anything wrong with that,I just expect more from my punk rock heroes).

Doing both at once is damn near unforgivable from the former Black Flag singer. If he was smoking pot and listening to "Funhouse",ok.If he was driving in his Valiant and all the windows were rolled up,and "2112" happened to be playing on KLSX,so be it.But not sitting and taking bong hits and actually turning the album over. No,no way is that acceptable.

of course not.
are you claiming that your musical tastes have always been cool? did you leap from the womb with all the Velvet Underground's stuff embedded in your DNA?
not me. I lived in North Canton Ohio (not Canton, but North Canton) through ninth grade and then Jefferson City Missouri for the rest of high school. It may surprise you to learn that these places are not on the cutting edge of cool. In Jeff City you were lucky if you could pull in KSHE-FM from St Louis on a good day; otherwise the only exposure to music was whatever everyone else was listening to. Rush, Foghat, REO Speedwagon, you name it, I had it and listened to it. I mean there was Led Zeppelin sure but otherwise it was Ted Nugent and Kiss.
I don't have any nostalgia for that music but I don't really feel bad about it either. I was a kid and I went through my bad music phase, so what. (In fact I think that phase gives me some authority in identifying just what is bad music, having lived it myself for a while). By the time I was 16 I'd started to outgrow it and by the time I was 18 I was playing The Slits on college radio.
No,I liked some bad stuff, too.I seem to enjoy more "uncool music" now that I'm older and don't care about being trendy as much.I went through a mod/ska phase, and now when I think I liked The Untouchables and bands like that,it's mildly embarassing.
But I think there is no Statute of Limitations for Rush.

i would heart that.
I've only heard a handful of RUSH songs, they are either brillant rock w/ amazing time-sig changes, or butter-churning paced boring tracks
that has always made me reluctant to buy their stuff

wait, breakjaw has dreads?
I have some good friends that live in North Canton. I was there two summers ago for a wedding. And like 10 years ago for visiting. There was grass and trees.
And, actually, one of the people I know there is in a band. But that band is based in Akron.
And I listened to those bands in high school even though I grew up in Phoenix. And later than you did. Hmm... that doesn't strike me as much better. Though I'm certain it was.
Phoenix fifteen years ago had 1060, at least. I didn't listen to it much, though. I should've. As it was I got most of my music from friends and family. And some radio.
