    What CD should i buy first? I like the newer stuff better from what i heard if that helps at all.

    I would recommend Rain Dogs,then Swordfishtrombones,but I'm old school.Not as old school as Mr. Waits,tho.Does everyone here realise that he wrote one of The Eagles first hits?(Ol' 55)Or that Bruce Springsteen was highly influenced by him and you can hear it on his first album?

    Rain Dogs is where I started. I don't regret it. If you can't dig Rain Dogs or Swordfishtrombones, you might be in trouble.
