I don't know who Coachella will grab. Radiohead do seem like a great candidate. I just hope they take another year off from Coachella. That's all. Again, not every year can be Radiohead @ the Polo Fields featuring 100 other acts.
2009 is when Talking Heads will reunite
Dearest Goldenvoice:
Boris, Wolf Eyes, and maybe merzbow plz.
Also Thomas Bangalter in the Sahara.
Kthxbye
I know they played this past year, but they were a huge success...
Although dates are still being confirmed, Hot Chip plans to kick off a massive tour Feb. 14 in the U.K., with a North American visit being planned for April.
For your health
Being stuck outside the tent watching balloons during Hot Chip was awesome.
As far as the headliners go, Radiohead and R.E.M. seem like obvious choices, but I'm having trouble coming up with a 3rd one or any alternatives in case those first two don't work out. After seeing the Pumpkins at the Virgin Festival, I'm kinda done with them and pray they don't show up, and I really think it's a little too early to bring back Coldplay or NIN. Oasis? What have they been doing lately? White Stripes? Beastie Boys? I dunno, I'm struggling here.

One day will be co-headlined by My Bloody Valentine and Pulp.

Broadcast
Neon Neon
Goldfrapp
Cut Copy
Avalanches
Presets
Royksopp
Underworld
Portishead
Prodigy
I'd be down with a return of Hot Chip too. Only on the Main Stage this time. Also, a return of MSTRKRFT would be sweet.
i could really see spoon being there, and i think i heard something about the strokes putting out a new album next year. they weren't there this year so maybee?
nice weather! for ducks..
yeah i'm not the biggest fan of the strokes anymore, but they just seem like they'd fit next year. and are the postal service a definite no now?
nice weather! for ducks..
Wheres Moby?
releasing album early spring
i think the strokes have a chance.
their guitarst albert hammond, jr. has an even bigger chance of being there seeing that his new album will come out end of this year/early 08.
ooo I'd be watching the Strokes...
yeah room on fire is chill
yeah yeah yeahs
Album coming out next year, Id say before coachella, seems about right
Asobi Seksu will perform and do a signing.
id love to see beirut on the outdoor stage at sunset, would be magical, as for headliners, mmm not sure, saw smashing pumpkins for about 2 songs at primavera, not great, maybe the flaming lips as an headliner on the outdoor stage , as long as they promise to change their stage show, its getting old now and talking heads would be very nice as a headliner
Here's my semi-realistic, semi-wish of a lineup based on all the conjecture thus far:
Day One:
Headliner: R.E.M.
Second Line: The B-52s, Chemical Bros., Death Cab for Cutie
Day Two:
Headliner: Pearl Jam
Second Line: Weezer, Morrissey, The Verve
Day Three:
Headliner: David Bowie
Second Line: My Bloody Valentine, Portishead, PJ Harvey, Belle & Sebastian

I am shocked that bands like the presets didnt get any early small tent time this year. I agree with a handful of the bands listed as the ones that make sense. there some like smaller djs like Sebastian or Kavinsky that don't get listed... perhaps they aren't as well known.. or heaven forbid well received.
Beastie Boys or REM
Foo Fighters
The Hives
Animal Collective
The White Stripes 9/18
Is Bruce Springsteen an option?
