i think that song works well on the album, I don't always listen to it, but it's not a glaring flaw.

I'll say "The Bob" off of Roxy Music.

Wrong song... Can't Stop is fucking abysmal! At least Car Chase Terror has some cool stuff going on with it.

Crown of Love is pretty damn bad in an otherwise fine CD.

Also, the ELO-inspired end of "Wake Up" is putrid too.

I agree with those. I also didn't like "Back to the Old House" until I heard the Hatful of Hollow version. Much, much better.

I always found the album version of Like Spinning Plates to be unlistenable.
The live version is awesome however.

Rejected on two counts. Count #1 - It's not a song. Count #2 - It's Stephen Hawking talking, the most influential wheelchair bound scientist on the face of the planet who will run your fucking feet over with spiked tires.

It's not Stephen Hawking. It's a MacTalk software program. Thom typed the lyrics into the computer. Stephen Hawking's software would be much more advanced. Fool.

If it's not a song, what the fuck is it doing distracting my attention from all the other songs on the album, then?

Personally, I think Pink Floyd managed to tease the finest vocal performance out of the good Prof. on Keep Talking, on The Division Bell, but that's just me...

These are both wonderful songs. The weak tracks from each album are "7 Kettles" and "Neon Bible". Scientific fact.
