Bulls making it interesting. And, I'm reminded how much I dislike Van Gundy as an announcer.

It's the NBA. Games like that happen all the time. What does it mean that they did it without Rose or Noah? Absolutely nothing, that's what it means. Just like in 2011, when I think the Bulls may have swept the Heat in the regular season then got bounced by the Heat in 5 games in the playoffs.

Do I think it's impressive when you beat the best team in the league without two of your best players going for a historic steak. Yes. Do i think they'll beat them in the playoffs? No.

Would the only good money from betting on the NBA playoffs come from betting on how few games the Heat need to play to win the championship again? (Yes, they lost tonight but nobody's winning 4 out of 7 games against them this year.)

Why wouldn't you want to see them in the playoffs? If it was for the chance of better draft picks then I would understand but it's not like we have any of those anyways. I'm failing to see your logic.

I want them to make the playoffs. But when they get there I think it's gonna be ugly.

I made a bet with my housemate before the season for $50 who goes farther in the playoffs, Lakers or Clippers. Maybe it was blind loyalty but if the Lakers sneak in the 8th seed it could actually happen...

It's blind loyalty. The Thunder are taking the #1 seed and they'll demolish the Lakers in 4 games.

Thats hilarious, I did a $20 bet before the season that the Lakers would make it to the West Finals. I laughed at him for making that bet. Now...

Feel good win for the Celtics over the Wiz tonight.

    The band is back together.

Well even though Portland lost, thankfully as the Lakers really needed the win, Lillard just cemented his almost already guaranteed rookie of the year award. What a performance by him.

Kobe didn't have a to shabby of a night either.

Looks like Kobe may be out for the season. The way he was limping looks like an Achilles injury. I'm just an EMT, so take that with a grain of salt.

Could be the last big Kobe moment you guys see for awhile. This isn't how I wanted to see the Lakers fall out of the playoffs.
I don't see the Lakers beating the Spurs and Rockets with or without Kobe at this point. Jazz don't have it much easier. Big win tonight for the Lakers. All four of these final games could be Losses on both sides.

Thunder have 2 easy home games left to hold the #1 seed. I much rather see it not come down to a tie breaker though. It's obvious Durant hasn't gave a shit about the scoring title this year. He certainly hasn't pushed for it the last few games.

I think an argument can be made that if Kobe is out for a while that the rest of the team will rally around that and use that as motivation to play harder. Also, with Kobe out it can be assumed that ball movement will be better, and even more so if Nash comes back healthy. I know the lakers have had a lack luster season, but the lakers do have proven veterans on their team. Nash has made it to the wcf, Dwight has made it to the finals, and pau and meta have championship rings.

I'm probably wrong, but I'm trying to convince myself that with or without Kobe the lakers still have a chance to with the championship.

Also, the game tempo slows down in the playoffs. I think that will work to the advantage of the lakers given our bigs despite the way dantoni wants to run this offense.

On a side note, if he doesn't come back I was at his last Playoff game. (last year when the Thunder sent them home)

Here's for hoping the Lakers pull off a win tonight to grab the 7th seed and not the 8th or 9th.

I kinda want to see the Rockets and Spurs play. Although it won't be as fun to send the Lakers home again this year.

The Lakers are very lucky they avoided the 9th. 9th seeds almost never win a series.
