If we do make the postseason as the 8th seed I almost feel sorry the Spurs or whoever ends up being the #1 seed. Not predicting a Lakes upset by any means, but playing Kobe, Howard, Gasol and Nash in the first round would be a pretty shitty reward for being the top team in the west.

I think the Lakers want to match up against the spurs first round. It gives them the best chance of moving on. However if OKC or the Clippers somehow manage to get the one seed Lakers have no chance, they just can't keep up.

The Lakers are going to burn their old legs up so much just TRYING to secure a playoff spot, they'll be lucky to get one victory in against any opponent. The Spurs are going to be will rested, if you guys think that they are the easiest option. And the Lakers are atrocious on the defensive end already.

How exactly do the Lakers match up BETTER against OKC or LAC?

I never implied that..I'm mostly stating that they are going to get smoked, whomever the opponent.

Yes you did, you tied your entire point together with "if you guys think that they are the easiest option. "

I can see the Lakers beating the Spurs in 6 games. It's the perfect matchup for them, despite an 0-2 record on the season. Both losses were by 3 points or less.

Lakers cannot beat the Spurs, OKC, or Clippers in a 7 game series.

It will be interesting to see how much the game slows down in the playoffs this year. If it turns into a bunch of half court sets like it usually does, then I don't think anybody wants to play LA. If it's up and down, high scoring like the regular season, then I don't see them winning more than a game against anybody.

Down by 9, Celtics finish out on an improbable 11-0 run vs the home Pacers.

This is a nominee for the best "bad beat" of the year.

Coming out of the time out, everybody in the Field House expected the same old Pierce isolation game-winner.

Welcome to the next tier, Jeff Green.

Mike did his best to throw the game away by keeping Meeks in the game. Kobe had other plans.

Those three three-pointers that Kobe hit at the end of the fourth were three of the most amazing shots I've ever seen. Also good to see him own up to his turnovers after the game. Now if we could just find a way to come out with some energy in the first quarter.

picked up Bargnani Thursday for a late season fantasy playoff push and would like to give a grazie for last night's performance. The "bad contracts" recent Bill Simmons piece is pretty damn good btw.

I was very lucky and had the opportunity to see this game in person, it was literally unreal.

"Literally unreal" would mean that it didn't actually happen.

That dunk is a bit overrated in my book. At least Blake's poster dunks where over other centers, and tough defensive centers at that (well Perkins). Jordans was over a 6'3" guard. That would have been more shocking if that didn't happen in a mid air collision.

Ty Lawson is the only player to get over 20 pts and 10 assist with 0 turnovers this season, and he's done it four times. Considering their uptempo style, and the increased number of possessions, that's pretty damn impressive.

    it seems like you did.

Think we're going to try to get tickets for Clips/Grizz tomorrow night. Some reasonably priced, below cost ones online or hit the scalpers out front of Staples. Should be playoff atmosphere and very physical, borderline dirty game as always between the two teams.

Is playoff atmosphere a term ClipperNation is claiming to know something about? Last I checked, dumping tickets below face value wasn't part of it.

    Yes.

And what does the aftermarket ticket price have to do with anything? Nearly all the games have sold out even after Sterling raised prices significantly last off-season. The urine colored sea of Laker fans take pride in paying more, heh. "I paid double for this shitshow, by golly".

No, I said that if the game is such a big deal, then why are there so many people who bought tickets not going and even willing to take a loss by not going?

Not that it wasn't a great dunk but shit Jordan is something like six inches and eighty pounds bigger then Knight. I just think if you are going to celebrate the dunk then you should also celebrate the fact that Brandon Knight had the fucking balls to even jump and try and stop then just stepping aside and giving it to him. But yet Knight was the blunt of a lot of jokes and what not.
