They were saying Humphries would be a 1 year deal to Cleveland because that's all they want from him, it's basically a salary dumping move. I also don't get why Orlando just sign and traded Ryan Anderson for less money then they will have to pay Lopez, when Anderson is arguably the better player. Either way I just don't see a deal for Dwight happening soon.

I also will never understand why parents take videos of their kids crying and post them on YouTube, but that's another subject.

    Now do you get it?

If not, look up Damon, Johnny; winter of 2004.

    Fuck's sake.
I guess I forgot that Johnny Damon was on the trade block for years, and, oh yeah, TRADED to Memphis only to have the deal rescinded at the last minute. Ray Allen owes Boston everything!

Retard Lewis, who signed a six year, $112 million dollar contract in 2007 is taking his talents to south beach to play for the veteran's minimum $1.35 mil.

One of the worst contracts since Jon Konkak.

I think at this point Miami is just adding way to much and it's going to all blow up in their faces.

They're adding a guy who averaged 8 points per game last year and will come off the bench. How is that "too much"? This isn't Rashard Lewis from 2006.

Damn right. All the more reason to root for Miami again. It'll be Key Arena Southeast next year.

That girl is going to grow up to be a slut and it will all be Steve Nash's fault.

    5 - Howard - Gasol - Hill - Sacre
    4 - Gasol - Hill
    3 - Ebanks - Grant Hill
    2 - Kobe - Jason Richardson
    1 - Nash - Blake - Morris

    That would be...

I don't see anybody on this team being able to guard or score on Ewing or Robinson in the post. Throw in the greatest of all time near his prime, and it's a wrap.

What else is Kobe going to say, though? He's confident and a great competitor. He's just wrong.

I think Chandler would do a decent job against the centers. I don't know who would guard Magic, LeBron? Considering him and Bird were at the tail end of their careers, I think it's close to a wash talent-wise. If Howard, Rose, and Wade were playing, I'd probably give Team USA the edge.

    Team USA advantages: athleticism, talent
Dream Team advantages: fundamentals, defense, desire/determination

Bird was the one at the tail of his career. Magic was still in shape, and only 32. He was the MVP of that year's All-Star game, and was a year removed from averaging over 19 points, 12 assists and 7 rebounds while leading LA to the Finals. I guess LeBron would have to guard Magic because I don't think Chris Paul would be as effective. Chandler would maybe do an ok job on Robinson and Ewing, though I don't see him getting any offense on them. They would still win the battle. Drexler, Malone and Mullin could match any spark Carmelo, Kevin Love, and Blake Griffin could bring off the bench. I think the biggest advantage this year's team would have is LeBron at power forward. He would get the best of Charles Barkley. I could see Pippen getting physical with Durant and throwing him off a bit. This year's team would have no answer for a 29-year old Jordan, on many levels.

It would probably be closer than most folks will admit, but if things are somewhat close you take the team that has Jordan in his prime.

Ha! Bird averaged 20-10-7 his final year. Jesus.

It'd be great to see MJ bully and harass Kobe on each end of the floor. What a match up.

End the Argument at this point.

Nets agree to Contract with Lopez, which means that he can't be traded until Jan. 15. Well that means Dwight wont be a Net for this year at least. Best part is if he would have just kept his mouth shut about everything he would already be a net.

Yeah, but he was clearly breaking down. He missed 37 games that season, and was shell in the playoffs. He put up 11/4/5 against, I believe, Indiana. He retired because it hurt him to walk/run. Magic retired because they didn't know anything about AIDS. He was still very-much capable physically. He only missed 3 games during his last season (not counting 1996). Huge difference between the end of Bird's career and the end of Magic's. Magic and Jordan went at each other during practices, while Bird just watch from the sideline cause he was resting his back.
