Also, know Sarver's history, he'll probably just end up trading the picks for cash.

They also traded a 1st round pick and Dragic to the Rockets for Aaron Brooks, watched Dragic do well in Houston, and then signed him to a free-agent contract. Bold strategy.
He'll also keep the pick if that player happens to be the brother of a more highly regarded draft pick (see: Taylor Griffin, Robin Lopez).

Getting Nash is a step in the right direction for the Lakeshow. But they still need to add more depth. It would be nice to have someone coming off the bench that can actually score.
I'm very excited to see Nash play for the Lakers. What a great, low-risk pickup. Whatever the rotation may be, Nash will be adding depth to the bench. What doesn’t excite me are all the pending no-look passes soon to be bumbled off the fingertips of Gasol and Bynum.
That's why they have training camp!
Steve Nash on 710 ESPN radio right now: http://espn.go.com/espnradio/losangeles/play?s=la
Should the Lakers keep him, Bynum better learn to pass better/faster out of the double-team now that Nash will be lurking on the perimeter.
Andrew Bynum operates in two modes:
1) Bynum shoot ball.
2) Bynum no shoot ball.
He can't just pass out of a double team when he's in "Bynum shoot ball" mode. You know?
Sad to see Nash go to my most hated franchise in sports. Ughh. But, it is nice to get some picks. I do see Tom's point in that they probably won't be great picks, but the Suns for years have had so little young depth. Maybe they'll get lucky.
I like the draft pick this year, and the signings so far. Looking good for Gordon to be in purple and orange, and Beasley should be a solid edition. Hopefully some solid drafts over the next few years can get things turned around.
I'm not a dumbass, just more relaxed than the rest of you.
Can someone who understands basketball x's and o's explain how a Nash/Kobe backcourt would function? I'm not being skeptical in my question, as much as I'm genuinely trying to figure it out. For the purpose of my question, I guess we have to assume that their two bigs will still be in the starting lineup.
