You can't ignore the absence of Rose/Bosh. Be foolish not take that into account. Would the Lakers be the same team without Kobe/Bynum/Gasol? Obviously not.

For someone whose team is informally out of the playoffs, I'm really looking forward to the WC Finals.
On this series, the Lakers played perfect on Friday. And that seems to be the only way to beat the Thunder. Make a few mistakes late, and OKC capitalizes. And yea, that Kobe ISO all fourth got real old.
If there's Coachella to be had, I'm gonna have it
Fuck it, I'm pulling for the Spurs in a Spurs/Heat Finals round. As much as I admire Durant that fucker is too young to be a winning title (that, and I'm not really a fan of Westbrook/Harden/Perk to begin with) -- that's just how I feel. Heat lose again in the Finals and either blow up the big 3 or Riley finally takes the reins like it should've been out the gate.
Pop knows the way, tricks.
I can't stand perkins, so I will root against him every single time (sorry Durant). I'm actually pulling for the Spurs to win it (of the remaining teams) so Duncan can ride off into the sunset. I wouldn't mind seeing Indiana win it either.
Upcoming: 05/25/13 - Fleetwood Mac - Hollywood Bowl (Hollywood, CA); 05/29/13 - Arctic Monkeys - Sunshine Theater (Albuquerque, NM); 05/30/13 - The Postal Service - Red Rocks (Morrison, CO); Bjork performing Biophilia - 06/02/13 - Hollywood Palladium (Hollywood, CA); Bjork - 06/11/13 - Hollywood Bowl (Hollywood, CA);
Bosh or not the backcourt play would make for entertaining viewing. But whatever, until Isaiah Thomas leads the Kings to glory I don't care much. (*sigh*)
What does this comparison even mean? The Lakers aren't good enough even with their "big 3" as is? Trololol. The Heat are clearly struggle city without Bosh though. Shallow bench outside of the heavy hitters. Danger danger.

Did the Bulls lose in the first round because they suck? No, they lost because MVP Derrick Rose hurt himself.

The Kings have you all just where they want you. In stable cities, with stable arenas, and decent rosters. Just you wait.
Oh they comin

Tyreke Evans is Carmelo 2.0. Except he can't score as much or do positive basketball things. He'd be a perfect Golden State Warrior.

Nash is coming to LA, right before Lakers trade for Howard.
I read that Nash wants to go to Toronto.
Well, he's stayed on Phoenix this long.
It's not like he hates being on the Suns though. If he doesn't care about winning a title he'll just stay in Phoenix.

^hahahaha.
Man, I went to the Dodgers game last night and they periodically showed the score of the Lakers/OKC game on the big screen and I was getting so discouraged. When the game was over and we finally made it back to the car, I turned on the game just in time to hear the Lakers lost! Big surprise and I wish I had recorded the game or something so I could see how it all went down. Guess highlights will have to do. It had to have been a major heartbreaker. I couldn't tell, but did OKC ever lead until the end of the game? Everytime they showed the score at the Dodgers game the Lakers were up by double digits.
They were up 13 with like 8 to go I think.

The Pacers are pulling a fake tough-guy act, and Miami is doing nothing about it. Joel Anthony, Udonis Haslem, Ronny Turiaf? Somebody needs to foul Granger hard. I miss the days of Charles Oakley, Rick Mahorn, etc. At least Juwan Howard tried to take care of Lance Stephenson and got in his face before the game.
Fake tough guy, he's from ABQ isn't he?
Dwayne Wade needs to pull his head out of his ass.

Personally, I think Wade and Lebron get to walk around the league as the assumed "best players" and because of that not enough people fuck with them on the court, physically and mentally. Now the Pacers are doing just that.
And both of Miami's stars are responding with cheap elbows and shit, what's up with that.

It's an imperfect analogy (and reveals my frame of reference), but LeBron reminds me so much of A-Rod. The clumsy, overly deferential way he tries to navigate playing with the other superstar who was the franchise player before he came to town. The tendency to over-think everything in the clutch instead of letting instinct take over. The inexplicable failure to win playoff series. The fact that everyone is rooting against him even though he's the most talented player of his generation.
I think LeBron also has a painting of him as a half-man/half-centaur, as well.
