World Peace wants a few games off, what a better way to do it, instead of an injury that keeps you benched for seasons like Bynum did.

7 game suspension for World Peace. Too many games in my opinion.

Not enough considering his history. Clearly hasn't learned anything.

He already got punished for those things in the past. Had a pretty good run since then. 4 games would have been enough but whatever. He must pay for the mistake.

Right. My point was simply that his history cannot be ignored. I'm sure the suspension would have been four games if it were Steve Blake or Jordan Hill who threw the elbow.

Yes, I think you're right about them not ignoring his history. They should look at this incident only, but I get it.

Plus, the fact that 6 of the games are playoff games makes it even more harsh a punishment.

I think he should've been suspended for the remainder of the season.

I'd love to see your reaction if a repeat offender gave Kobe a concussion.

Uh...don't courts look at a criminal's record when they commit another crime? What a dumb argument.

I'm not surprised at the 7 games. I wouldn't have been surprised if they did suspend him for the rest of the season. I just don't think it's fair.

I'm a Laker fan. Had Blake Griffin done that Kobe, I'd be glad to see him suspended for life. I'm not going to sit here and say that's fair though.

One regular season game and three playoff games is fair for a thrown elbow.

That elbow literally could cost OKC a title. You really think it's fair he gets to play at all?

Suspended for the first round seems fair. I thought it'd be 10 but 7 I can live with.

7 is far too short. He should be out the entire playoffs. Or out of the league altogether.

I don't think it's fair the NBA look at it that way. It's a thrown elbow. He caught him clean and hard. It was irresponsible but I don't think he intended on knocking him out or even in the head like that. Who can say? He wasn't even looking.

Yes, I think he should be able to play. But, being Ron Artest, I expected this or worse.

Magic Johnson hinted at this the other night. He's tired of being embarrassed.

I'm sure it was scheduled far prior to the elbow, but regardless Metta will be on Conan tonight. Should be interesting to hear what he has to say. Fuck Conan if he sidesteps around the topic.

I've never seen someone look like such a bitch in a game like Gortat in the first half. He's been blocked, what, 6 times? It was frustrating the first 3 times, but then I just started imagining him making noises like Chewbacca after he gets rejected. Easing the pain...just a little.

Gortat has to make the All-Ugly Team along with Gustavo Ayon, Pekovic, Brian Cook, and Sheldon Williams.

Big game tomorrow night at MSG as the Clips didn't take care of business tonight.
