Sessions is a good fit. We are trying to win this year. Call them delusional, but they believe they have a shot. I do too. The Lakers made their team better. Maybe they could have got someone better in the draft, but it does nothing for us this year. We also unload a terrible contract in Luke Walton. Good trade.

As for Beasley, I am not sure that's a great move for the Lakers either. Bringing in another guy with a history of problems. Is that really what you want? I mean, do Laker fans see him as the new Odom?

Beasley is young and brings offense off the bench, which we don't have. We'll lose Steve Blake. These are not the greatest players in the league but are the best options available to contend this year.

I just wonder if bringing in a player like Beasley is a good idea. If Phil Jackson still ran the show, then I'd be more inclined to like the move for LA but I don't feel that same level of comfort with Mike Brown there.

Fair well, Luke Walton. Your presence on the Laker's sideline was rivaled only back Jack Nickolson, but I hear the pine in Cleveland is just as sweet.

That's a good point. Don't think anything went down before the deadline. I'm just glad it's over and the Lakers actually did something without disrupting the big three.

I feel bad for Fisher. I bet he's crying right now. At least the most over rated PG will show how good he really is now

I have a feeling we're going to see a few more trades announced. The deadline was an hour ago but teams just have to inform league offices that a trade has been agreed to before the deadline. There may be some moves that haven't been announced yet.

Fisher is 38 years old and he's got five rings. This will most likely be the final season of his career and he doesn't have to prove shit. He hit some clutch shots and won some big games for us in crunch time, but other than that I don't think anyone ever claimed he was an elite point guard.

So if Fisher decides to retire instead of playing for Huston would that negate the deal?

Also Portland continues the cleaning house and FINALLY cuts Greg Oden. Wonder if any other team is willing to take a chance on him whenever he is healed.

I feel bad that Fisher is gone, but it needed to be done. Sessions is a younger, better, more athetlic player and will make the team better for sure. The acquisition of Jordan Hill was a good move too, providing the Lakers with more depth down low and a good player coming off the bench.

And they saved some cash in the process so it's all good in my eyes. Well done once again Kupcheck.

on TV at ESPN sports zone with Rob Fugazaki when Fisher hit the four tenths playoff shot against the Spurs. The guy is a Laker legend, just goin out to the pasture now. Pesky fucker.

Normally I would have said no to this, but them trading him just like that makes me feel like that kind of have to.

Not gonna happen and shouldn't happen, imo. Cooper and Scott are more deserving to have their jersey retired. Lakers should keep their standards very high unlike other teams. And remember, Fisher left the lakers at one point for $$, don't feel so sorry for him.

I agree and those are the reasons why I would normally say no they shouldn't. I can just see it happening now as a "Sorry for ruining the end of your career plans so here is your Jersey retired to make up for that."
