So Pau's out...? No better way to say you're dishing someone than to sign a geezer at their position that hasn't played in the NBA since 2010.

You think Sheed is insurance for Pau? Do you think they already has a deal hashed out for him and they'll wait till end of weekend to pull the trigger?

No I see Rasheed more of a Depth signing. McRoberts hasn't exactly panned out and Troy Murphy isn't a tough inside guy. I just see it as a depth move and he can also shoot the 3 so that also gives depth there.

That was my thought, I don't think you can count on Sheed to play big minutes these days anyway

no, it's a Pau for Sheed straight up trade. Sheed starts at PF for the Lakers. Pau takes over Sheed's one bedroom in Detroit that's filmed for a reality show about creamy Europeans moving into the ghetto.

    This ^

Sheed averaged 9 pts in 22 min last year he played, right now that's better than anyone on the Lakers bench. Also, he's taking Caracter's roster spot so they didn't even have to cut anyone and he's only getting prorated vet minimum. Not a huge risk.

No better way to improve toughness inside than to sign a 3-point chucking power forward who hasn't played in 2 years.

I in no way implied Rasheed Wallace would be starting or having huge minutes. Why would they consider depth for Pau at all honestly? Are they suffering because of a lack of skill at the PF position overall? I feel like Rasheed is an acknowledgement that whoever their next power forward is will likely not be as good as Pau. I think Rasheed is a depth signing for whoever Pau's traded for.

    And lol.

    Edit:
Or Pau is being traded for a player that doesn't play PF and the Lakers are taking anything they can get.

Those last three dunks were great.

EDIT* What's this "dunk intensity" mumbo jumbo?

For lack of big names and Kenny talking way to much, the dunk contest was actually pretty decent. Each dunker had an amazing dunk they displayed. Yes a motorcycle isn't a car but at least Williams did what Griffin should have done over the car last year and windmill it.

Yeah the dunk contest was pretty entertaining. Add to the fact that the Chuckster was simply hilarious on the mic lol. I never have many complaints about All Star Saturday night, besides the horrendous dunk contest in '10.

On that note, I'd like to say my favorite dunk contes was in '03, and yes I consider it better than 2000. The dunk-off between Mason and Richardson will always be a great memory for me

So apparently the Dubs are interested in acquiring D12 even if he doesn't resign.

What's the latest with LA, any rumors? Props to Flash for that foul on The Mamba.

Lamar Odom is hoping for a buy out.

Wilson Chandler is also cleared to sign with an NBA team.

AND Brandon Roy is considering a comeback.

The Warriors are also looking at a Ellis for Gasol trade from what I understand.

This would have to be a three team trade, I can't see Monta and Kobe coexisting. This is a little late, but anyone who thought the dunk contest was good, decent, or slightly entertaining, must not have watched many NBA, college, or high school dunk contests. Out of those three I think the college dunk contest is typically the best every year.

The Warriors would easily win in that trade.

The D-League dunk contest was pretty legit. Saw an idea thrown out on twitter that the winner get a spot with the big boys later that night which could be cool.

^^This is great, my co-worker played against LD Wiliams in high school in North Carolina and always talks about how freak of an athlete he was. D-League dunk contest is almost always better than the big boys. How did Gerald Green not win this? Did he not want to partake since he's already one the NBAs?

    - James Anderson's agent is encouraging the Spurs to dish him.
    - Spurs' front office has apparently been teasing talks with Emeka Okafor.

Free Nba League Pass trial for people with Directv, starting today. Already two close games Bos-Cavs, and now Chi-NO. Minn-Clips game should be a good one later.
