Woooo hoooo....I love me some basketball. Phoenix Suns homer right herrrr....

I hope Shaq works out literally and figuratively.

I hope Marion and Banks (went to UNLV for a little bit, during his time) does well in Miami.

Also what an idiot Stackhouse is....telling everyone he was going to get a 30 day vacation (after being traded to NJ and then waived) while waiting to be re-signed by Dallas.

Any Lake show fans in here?

I'm a Jazz fanboy. Deron Williams should have been an allstar.

Yeah I agree, I wouldn't have minded seeing Nash sit this year to rest his achy back. I think Deron or Roy would have been good selections, I just think the coaches wanted to reward Portland for their incredible season thus far. If Kobe sits out maybe they'll let him in .

Rewarding New Orleans with two selections though, I don't agree with. David West is good but not an all star.

Portland had a good run, but I doubt they are even going to make the playoffs. Maybe if they were in the east, but I dont thinkk they can compete in the west, not this year at least.

Not this year...but if next year the Big guy is operation at a high level. Holy schnikes are they gonna be good.

Korver's really turned you guys into a serious contender over there, hasn't he? Bet the good ole Mormon boys and girls are loving him right?

Yeah, picking up Korver was a good move. I think it's just coincidence that we have done as well as we have after picking him up though. We have a pretty deep bench this year (like we did in 97 and 98). We are playing more aggressive defense in the post and starting to win on the road. I hope we can keep it up. I am sure all the mormons are thrillled. When is shaq expected to start?

Tuesday against the Lakers supposedly. He has a few more training sessions to go this weekend, then they will update his status. The Suns also want him to get use to the offense but NBA rules forbid any practices this weekend. So we'll see, I hope on Tuesday because I'm very excited and impatient to see how this will pan out.

Very Nice! It's going to be an incredible atmosphere i'm sure. The Lakers are a rival combined with the presence of one Shaquille O'Neal (crossing fingers).
I wanted to buy tickets. However because of those two factors, tickets are quite expensive currently.

Word up Dylanja, since Day one. Don't mind Lakers fans, they come to expect greatness which makes them a little more crazy and passionate.

Suns fans on the other hand are let down year after year (back in the 80's because of Showtime Lakers) therefore aren't as likely to be as boisterous.

That was a pretty good allstar game. Last three minutes were a bit of a nailbiter.

Sure was...I was excited plus my boy Stoudemire was killing for a minute there. Then he got taken to the rim and jammed on by James. Who definitely deserved MVP.

With all the talk about the Kidd trade lately, I think the Hawks picking up Bibby was an absolute steal.

If they keep this starting lineup together a couple years, they could be a pretty interesting team. Bibby is still only 29..

    PG - Bibby
    SG - Joe Johnson
    SF - Josh Smith
    PF - Marvin Williams
    C - Al Horford

Also..pretty cool All-Star game, I only watched the second half. I got caught up watching Duke getting smacked.

I like it also...they've got shooters and players that can create for others(Bibby and Johnson), size (Horford and Smith), and a player that can straight up shoot (Williams). Definitely a nice core.

My only hope is they wait to bring all that skill until next year so that the Suns can get a high pick from them. Here's to the Hawks tanking! Please!

Am I to understand you didn't watch one minute of any all star weekend event? If so I believe you missed out.

I do agree with your sentiments about games starting back up. I cannot wait to see this second half of basketball. I'm terrified about seedings in the West. And more than a little anxious to see who pans out.
