I dunno I mean I think it's reliable sources that it's coming from and I do believe all the other owners want them to be sold before a vote is reached so the rest of the owners can still be protected. However I haven't believed anything else from this case so far so we shall see. However if he did actually buy them no way the league would allow him to move them to Seattle. I just don't see them being OK after all of this take them away from LA, that will just do more bad then good. However I'm all for them getting their own Arena in LA, maybe renovate the Sports Arena or even moving them to the Honda Center in Anaheim.

Part of the reason of that $2 billion value is the location. LA has 13 million people, home to a lot of rich folk who will buy courtside seats, season tickets, and luxury suites, and a huge sports market. Moving the team would drive down the value, so why spend a lot of money to buy the team, then spend the relocation costs ($100 million+), set up new tv deals, and spend MORE money to build a new arena?

Clippers are not moving any where any time soon, although a name change to remove the Sterling stink would be cool...

I could be wrong, but I could have sworn that part of the agreement was that Ballmer couldn't move the team if he purchased it. Plus, how long is their lease at Staples?
10/8 - Little Dragon @ Marquee (Tempe, AZ)
10/11 - Carolina Chocolate Drops @ Rialto Theater (Tucson, AZ)
11/10 - The Black Keys @ US Airways Center (Phoenix, AZ)
    4/10/15 - 4/12/15 - Coachella

The lease doesn't expire for another nine years. Also, correct on the first part.

you diss my team but the only two you have different are Bryant and James, who are clearly inferior to Jordan and Bird.

Having suffered severe leg cramps on multiple occasions in the last year, I was surprised that LeBron didn't shriek in agony.

Only managed to catch the last ~7 minutes (basically when Danny Green lost the ability to miss) and that was pretty exciting. Need to find a sports bar to catch the rest of the series at; Jennifer hates both teams so I don't know how amenable she would be to me watching at home.

You ever had it happen to you? Honest question. That shit hurts, plain and simple. The worst people right now are nhl fans? Because it seems that because they get knocked the fuck out, break something, bleed from a hit, and then come back to a game, it makes them superior.

I have suffered severe cramps in the biggest game of my life. It wasn't so much the pain (it did fucking hurt though) but the fact it is completely debilitating - if they are bad enough you literally can't take a step without your legs locking up. When you throw in the potential for a severe muscle strain as result of trying to "push through" I can't blame LeBron for sitting the final four minutes.

That said the question to me is - why was LeBron so much effected than anyone else? I know it was an unforeseen circumstance tonight but this isn't the first time I have seen him cramp so badly, maybe he needs to reassess his preparation and in-game hydration?

The Spurs came up big when it counted (Danny Green!) but didn't really play well other than beasting inside, completely exposing Miami's lack of rim protection. To get that win despite so many turnovers is a good get. I look forward to seeing which adjustments both teams make for game 2.

If you asked me to guess one player out of the 24 to get a cramp, I would have put money on LBJ

LeBron does have a tendency to cramp up. Not like this is the first time that this has ever happened to him.

I'm pretty sure muscle mass does have a lot to do with cramping. LeBron probably has the most ideal combination of muscle mass and exertion, out of any of the players in the series, to get a cramp. Michael Jordan left an NBA Finals game against the Jazz because of stomach cramps, which are as or less debilitating in terms of mobility than leg cramps, but that doesn't fit the Jordan myth so people ignore it. And that was a close game, too.

Basically, this issue is giving dumb people a chance to be dumb.

Are you referring to the "flu game"? Because I stand to be corrected but if I recall rightly Jordan was on the court at the end and even hit a 3 to tie the game up in the last 30 seconds.

I heard a couple of neat stats yesterday.

    1. LeBron was 8-11 in the second half of game two, none of the makes were inside the paint.
    2. Miami has won 13 straight playoff games coming off of a loss.
