How any coach can accept Harden's complete lack of effort on defence baffles me. I don't give a shit how many points you score if you aren't even going to pretend to play D then I would either call him out or pull him out. Houston seem to lack genuine leadership - on the court and on the bench, a straight talking vet and a harder coach would make them a much better team.

Also having watched the Pacers shit the bed against the Hawks I pray that the Bulls don't even consider signing Lance Stephenson. Apart from my aversion to throwing contracts at guys based on a career year in a contract year I see him as the new Artest - a selfish headcase who always tries to do too much.

What a bittersweet season this must have been for Donald Sterling. His team is finally good yet overwhelmingly brown. I bet all the grandkids got JJ Redick jerseys for Christmas.

I'm not a Clippers fan but I want them to do well but I can't support Sterling anymore so yeah I am confused on what to do. But what a bigoted asshat.

What a shitheel and what timing. We, as Clipper fans, have been hoping for his death for years. Hope Silver can get him out. Argh.

I sure hope that there is truth to Magic Johnson wanting to buy the Clippers, and I hope that it actually happens.

Yep, same vibe I got after listening to the complete recording...aside from that POS Sterlings comments, Magic wants an LA sports monopoly...my initial reaction was, this sounds like a setup! ..."want some juice honey?"

It would be great to see Magic buy the team, but would Sterling really sell to him? I'm not so sure that he would.

Which assholes? Am I an asshole for liking the team, even if I think the owner is, and always has been, a walking, talking piece of shit?

Probably the same assholes that have season tickets and others that are FANS of the team athat have shelled out the scratch for tix.

*EDIT: also, I dont get this whole "every single team should have refused to play on Saturday and forced the NBA to deal with this issue..." and the "we need to work to get past this plantation / slavery culture in the NBA" The latter was heard on KNBR in the bay area this morning. Gimme a break.

Yes that is the Lakers though not the Clippers. The rest of the group very well might buy the Clippers but I doubt he would be part of that. He is to emotionally connected to the Lakers to own part of the Clippers. Granted MJ bought a team other then the Bulls but Magic is way more open in the public then MJ is.

I'm not fully aware of his past, so forgive me if this is old news.

I just find it fascinating that people (not here but in the media and elsewhere) are clamoring for the players to not play for him all the while ignoring the ticket buyers for funding this prick.

I doubt very few sports fans have done a lot of digging into the affairs of the owners of their favorite teams. It's not like fans of teams watch because they love the owners - they love the players, the teams, and the sport. I don't think ANY team of ANY sport, and their fans, deserve to be put through this.

The NBA has known who Donald Sterling is since day one. If anyone has to answer for why he has been tolerated for so long, it's them.

Hopefully, Adam Silver will actually have the balls to do what is right and do anything within his power (and even beyond, if needed) to get Sterling out of NBA and out of sports forever, and we can go back to enjoying what has been a very exciting playoffs for everyone (teams and fans alike).

According to the articles that have been posted about this, the plan is "100% Magic's."

...or not taking David Stern to task for not doing something back when Sterling made that massive discrimination lawsuit payout.

I understand and accept all of this, but the situation at hand requires literally no digging.

That's a false analogy. there are an infinite number of iPhones while there are a finite number of seats in a basketball stadium. If Steve jobs said, ''black guys can't buy my phone because I can make more money off of white people having this specific phone, it would be equal.

Irt Wes, it doesn't matter if they are clippers fans or not. The picture demonstrates the awareness of recent events.. Truth of the matter is people will be at the next home Clippers game, and Fuck those people.

His personal views do not seem to be affecting the team overall, though. Black coach, highest paid in the league, not like the whole roster is white boys. Sure he is a scumbag, sure he deserves some form of comeuppance. Should be on a personal level, though. Can't punish the fans, employees, and players because their boss is an idiot.
