We were doing fine losing before this trade, don't see how it going to change that.

How so? Bench depth has been the Warriors problem and now they gave up two reserves for a player that can step in and actually play pg when Curry is out.

He is averaging just about 8 assist a game this season, I don't think that qualifies as atrocious floor vision.

Blake is a fine backup point guard. Before he fucked up his elbow he was having a nice season. The Warriors got better with this trade and the Lakers cleared $3.5 million off the books. Neither of those scrubs will be on the roster next year.

Blake is ranked 50th among point guards right now in player efficiency rating. 50. What does 8 assists even matter if you're 18-35. His turnover rate is second highest. Gerald Wallace was dropping 19 a night for the Bobcats one season. Someone's gonna have their numbers balloon if your whole team cant do shit. Please look at Blake's career numbers, especially the last 3 years, along with playoff numbers and PER

What does anything matter when you are 18-35? The only point I was making was that just about 8 assist per game does not equal atrocious floor vision like you claim he has.

yeah and that's a career high too. o wait he's only played in 27 games. Number of rings Blake has = 0. Not like Warriors stood a chance winning the title anyways

You really don't have any idea what you're talking about. Not only is his floor vision atrocious one of his better skills is defense. he always leaves it all out on the floor.

ESPN has learned that the Bobcats have agreed to take on point guard Luke Ridnour in addition to top trade target Gary Neal. They also convinced the Bucks to absorb the salary of Ramon Sessions.

The final form of the deal, sources said, will send Neal and Ridnour to Charlotte for Sessions and Jeff Adrien.

Not a bad move for Cleveland here.
The Cavs sent the 76ers two second-round draft picks and backup forward Earl Clark, while Cleveland shipped backup center Henry Sims to Philadelphia to complete the deal for Spencer Hawes

Trade of the day so far
The Indiana Pacers have traded forward Danny Granger to the Philadelphia 76ers for forwards Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen, according to a Yahoo! Sports report.

I like the Hawes move, especially because Varejao has been injury-riddled for three years. I just hope this doesn't take away from Bennett's recently increased minutes when Varejao returns because Bennett has finally shown signs of life. Even Tyler Zeller has played well of late.

But Hawes is a good fit in Cleveland. He has three point range, which will help stretch the floor and open space for Kyrie, Waiters and Deng to operate. I think it's smart to go in as a buyer. The east is so bad that -- despite being 11 fucking games below .500 -- they are only 4 1/2 out of the 5 seed, 7 out of the 4 and 7 1/2 out of the 3.

Despite how strong everyone perceives this upcoming draft class to be, the Cavs need to make a step in the right direction at some point and I don't think blowing up the roster in the offseason is a smart move either. I'd like to see them in the playoffs, even if it's as nothing more than a sacrificial lamb for Miami or Indiana.

30 teams in the league. A starter and a back up each… if my brain doesn't fail me that's 60 point guards roles that need filling in the NBA at minimum. The Warriors have a top 3-5 PG starting (#2 since you like PER), I don't see anything wrong with them having what PER ranks as the #50 PG as their back up. Curry plays 35+ minutes a game, leaves Blake a quarters worth of minutes at most. They can do worse. Their previous back up PG was Nedovic… take a stab at what his PER ranking is. Hint: he's a hop, skip and a jump away from triple digits. His PER? Not a positive number.

Yes, I'm a Laker fan. No, I'm not delusional. He's a good basketball player they got for expendable pieces who will fill a role nicely.

If I was Granger I'd play for a ham sandwich and a bag of potato chips to play in Miami and give Indy the shaft.

edit: Indy had a chance to win a ring right now. They shouldn't have messed that up…

Reminds me of when the Nats shut down Strasburg in 2012 when they were in contention to win it all. 2013 came and went and they were bottom feeders once again. Gotta go for it all when opportunity knocks. Great they "saved" his arm, but they may never get another meaningful chance for him to use it.

In total agreement... If I were Granger, I would have a huge chip on my shoulder... It'll be interesting if Philly lets him go tomorrow...

I don't know if Philly can let him go. From what my understanding is that teams need to have a minimum salary amount otherwise you get fined close to the amount you would get for going over the cap or something like that and Granger's contract it what is supposedly keeping them over the minimum at the moment. I know Granger want's a buyout and I don't blame him but it would cost Philly more to cut him then to keep him. However with how bad Philly wants to tank that might be worth it for them to really tank.

Yes I am a lakers fan but have you watched him recently? He is much better on defense than he used to be. Although he struggles sometimes to keep up with the Tony Parkers and Rajon Rondos. 90% of the time he holds his own.
