He is actually having a great year and he has been such an impact defensively that he deserves it. Joakim Noah too. Biggest joke to me is Lamarcus Aldridge. Damion Lillard has easily been the best player from that team. It's tough that NBA politics pass him over for veterans.

He's a great defensive player who has a tremendous affect on the game. I would have picked him. I really don't have a problem with any of the selections. I think I would have picked Stephen Curry over Tony Parker, but even that's not a glaring thing.

Whoever said Deron Williams got snubbed hasn't been paying attention. There's no way he deserves to be an All-Star this year.

I wish they would stop the fan voting thing. I say this as a Lakers fan but no way in hell Dwight deserves to be on the All Star team this season. Kobe deserves it but no way in hell a team 10 games under 500 or so deserves two people on it, let alone two starters.

The all star game and everything around it is terrible enough. But the fan voting is the worst part of the entire thing.

I agree with most of the coach selections. There will always be a couple of contentious ones, this year I agree Aldridge is touch and go. I would likely have put Ibaka in his place. The fans will always get a couple wrong every year but I still like the concept of being able to influence the team.

Can't argue with Chandler. He is a game changer on defense and puts up pretty reasonable points at a very high clip, especially given the ballstoppers he plays with.

Rondo tore his ACL. Tough break for the already slumping celtics.

I was buzzed and accepted a trade for Rondo and I got Marcin Gortat effective this past Friday in our fantasy league. Everyone thought it was crazy and I was throwing away my season. Today, they think I'm a genius.

Anyone who trades Rondo for Gortat is far from genius

Well that Rondo injury is the final blow to my fantasy chances. Unless that dipshit that I just offered him up for Wade to makes the trade before David Stern steps in and nixes it.

With Rondo, they were 3 games under .500. They have sucked.

Without Rondo, they will no doubt be better defensively.

Rondo is a top 5 point guard in the league but he is no team leader.

I think the C's will rally without him. The leaders on the team will lead and the new guys like Terry and Lee and Barbosa will get a chance to help these guys win.

I hope Ainge gives these guys at least until the end of February to get their shit together.

I'm sorry Santasutt, best case senario is that everything you say does happen then Celtics still end up 7 or 8 seed and knocked out in first round, even in a weak east.

the way the Wolves last year were a .500 team with Rubio, and totally went in the tank after he went out. Rondo, who is much better, I think the Celtics will unfortunately meet the same fate as the Wolves last year (and actually this year, because the Wolves suck lol)

Not really sure how this helps Memphis but good for the Raptors. Finally a star

You must not know much about Rudy Gay then? I've been a huge fan of Rudy since McDonalds all-american game and I know he's and underachieving overpaid non-star. Griz get grit and championship experience in Prince who fits their culture much more along with front court depth in Davis and floor spacing in Daye, while getting rid of a ball stopping overpaid non-star, what's not to get?

The Grizzlies got an expensive contract off their books. That's the only way this benefits their team. Gay was by far their best player.

Hmmmm... If he was their best player why has he never been an all star and ZBo is this year?

Grizz were paying max to a non-All Star, while going over the luxury tax, so they had to move him. They won without him too if you recall from last year.

Statistically Rudy Peak four years ago, he's been declining in every category and is NOT a franchise player

That was two years ago but the point is well taken, Rudy does not fit the culture in Memphis and is not an essential piece to their success.

Trade should have been done in the offseason. Their positioning is too good to change their roster like that. Just watch they're gonna finish 5th or worst now

So they're going to go from 4th to 5th? Yikes... And I still have to disagree, if the NBA were a video game I'd agree with you but ego plays a roll among other factors and I think it was the right move.

I do think Prince is a better team player, but Rudy made some big shots down the stretch for that team, a lot of game winners. I don't know if they have a perimeter player that can create their own shot anymore.
