My guess is Brian Shaw. Phil or Sloan would be awesome but honestly how much longer are they going to give you? Shaw is a type of guy that the players like and that you can build up as a coach for many years to come (assuming they do well of course).

I especially like the timing of this; right before 6 games at home. Lakers fans inside the arena are probably the most critical of any professional sports team and there is no way they'd continue to put up with Brown's methods. I compliment whichever Buss made the call to cut losses now before further embarrassing us with Brown's limitations.

Ok I knew they'd let him go, but 5 games into the year? How often does that happen in the NBA almost never.

Shaw balled it up too; he'd get that respect.

Ya bringing in Shaw and going back to the triangle might not be a bad idea.

Would Shaw come back? He pretty much assumed he would get the job after Phil left and I imagine felt pretty burned when it didn't go to him.

You know, but that's valid because if we are all gonna die anyway shouldn't we be enjoying ourselves now? You know, I'd like to quit thinking of the present, like right now, as some minor insignificant preamble to something else.

Yeah but once Nash comes back do you really wan't Nash operating out of the Triangle? Obviously he could but like the Princeton it's not going to utilize him to his max.

Bernie Bickerstaff named intern head coach.

This is off topic, but I think Ebanks fucking sucks.

He's never shown me a single thing that made me think he should be on the Lakers, or even in the NBA for that matter.

HAHAHA I'll take it. I don't even know how that happened to be honest. But if it gets me a board award then I'm OK with it.

Yep. Also, who's the second best team in the East anyway? Boston maybe? The Knicks? Eh.

    Boris - 7/29 - The Mohawk
    NIN/Soundgarden/ - 8/14 - Austin 360
    Woods - 8/20 - Holy Mountain
    Jamie xx - 8/27 - The Mohawk
    Little Dragon - 8/31 - Moody Theater
    Ty Segall - 9/5 - The Mohawk
Seth Troxler - 9/5 - Vulcan Gas Company
    Black Lips/King Khan & BBQ Show - 9/12 - J. Lorraine Ghost Town

Right now the Knicks but I just don't see that lasting the whole Season, especially when Amare comes back. Indiana I can't picture finishing any higher then last season now with Granger out for three months. First time I remember with the exception of the Heat that the whole NBA is this wide open.

They would have to buy him out to get Shaw from Indiana. And he isnt the coach for this right now.

And considering he magically cancelled an appearance next week in Chicago just yesterday, what does that tell you?

I wonder if Phil will bring the fountain of youth/a decent bench with him.

I think Phil or D'Antoni are the ideal candidates. Imagine D'Antoni's fast paced offense in LA. It's way more fun to watch than 4 quarters of grind it out basketball. Only question is if the Lakers have the squad for that system.

    Bring back showtime!

I would actually prefer D'Antoni then Phil. Simple reason being you just gave up draft picks and spent money on Steve Nash, so they need to use him. Unless if Phil does something other then the triangle which I really don't see him doing then they are basically wasting Nash because the triangle isn't PG friendly.
