Why? They need to get rid of Carmelo, and Dwight Howard is Dwight Howard.

It's just insane to think about. I would love it, but I can't get my hopes up.

Can't imagine they trade Melo now that D'Antoni quit. It was clearly the coach's fault that the nothing was working. Mike Woodson's offense will benefit Anthony much more. Helped turned Josh Smith into a beast

Josh Smith got better after Mike Woodson left because Woodson didn't give a shit if Smith just jacked up shots and made that offense less efficient and effective. I swear, I just think many people only look at stats and ignore things like team culture and efficiency.

The Knicks would be better off with D'Antoni than Carmelo, but you can't just get the player to resign. So they might be stuck with Melo unless they can find a sucker to trade for him.

What are you talking about. Hawks are still the same team. A second round exit. 09-10 is arguably his best season. Please don't try and argue

I guess Woodson did learn in his final season that Smith isn't a shooter, you're right. Though, "beast" might be a stretch. I get the sense Carmelo may not be as willing to change his game as Josh Smith was. He's used to being the focal point of a team, for better or worse, and I can't see him giving up that role. Even though it means that his teams will almost always not perform up to their capabilities. He's just stats over substance.

Agreed. From what I witnessed D'Antoni tried to make a Melo a jump shooter which isnt so much his game. Hopefully he gets more freedom and can get easier attempts going to and around the rim. 125 3's attempted in 27 games for the Knicks last year. Like holy fuck. 117 in 32 games this year

Dwight Howard has clearly learned nothing from the LeBron situation.

    "The Decision II"

Magic need to trade him or make an ultimatum before the deadline ("commit to fulfilling your contract next year or we are trading you to ______ as the deal is lined up"). Tough situation.

The Howard situation changes on the hour. I don't know which will surprise me more, if he's traded or if he isn't.

I hope Dwight is traded soon, my fantasy team would definitely benefit from DH sitting out a couple games while the paperwork is finalized. H2H PLAYOFF PUSH!!!

Lakers trade their first rounder along with Luke Walton to Cleveland for Ramon Sessions and Christian Eyenga...

Yeah thanks for the extra first rounder in a deep draft LA. Have fun with the inconsistency of Ramon Sessions.

Sessions can be inconsistent when you have kobe, gasol, and bynum.

Serious. No one is asking Sessions to carry the Lakers. Now to land Beasley.

Sessions was 0 for 8 on Wednesday... He's also shooting 39.8 percent from the field for the season.

Who said or implied that Sessions was going to lead? The Lakers pick will most likely be in the 20-25 range, which in a normal draft year wouldn't be a big deal. But this is expected to be the deepest draft in a pretty long time. It would be nice if he worked out for both sides and I am sure he is an upgrade on the floor over Derek Fisher, but Sessions isn't worth a first rounder in this years' draft, in my opinion.

I never said you did, but Sessions will shoot the ball whether you or anyone else likes it or not. He also averages two turnovers a game in just 24 minutes per contest.
