I dont think it will drop Erik. Capacity has been increased slightly each year after 2004. I will say hovering around 60,000 because any article on Coachella 2006 had figures saying they broke attendance records with almost 120,000 people attending over the 2 days.

i remembered when coachella came out that they took pride in not going over 30,000 to start cuz this was when woodstock came out with 150,000, overcharged everyone and had some disastrous results. but now i do hear they push it to 50-60 thousand. i think they way the lineup stands now, for friday we will see close to 40k, sat probably 45-50, and rage will be 60k+

I've heard so many numbers for woodstock 99...anywhere between 150-250k (guess we'll never know for real). I heard promoters were letting people in for free the last day.

Yeah they let in people for free on the last day. I think it was over 200,000. Now only one festival has a capacity of over 100,000 and thats Glastonbury. They are actually trying to increase it this year by another 15k. Bonnaroo is about 80k, and Lolla has had attendance around the low 40's.

I think 60 k is way too many for Cocahella - the tents are ridculously packed.
