I don't really agree, the Velvets aren't some marionette to be dragged out whenever you're feeling bored. Would it have been great to see them live, in their prime? Absolutely. But their time has passed. I think the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame/Sterling Morrison tribute was a nice way to cap off their legacy.

I'm not disrespecting them at all, if anything it's more disrespectful to callously demand that they reunite just because you aren't old enough to have seen them in their heyday. I don't need to see The Velvet Underground live to appreciate their genius and influence on the bands I listen to.

i am leaving all these pro jam requests on the board, whether they belong or not, having recently picked up their double dvd... and while I am at it, noel gallagher and weller have gotton along famously, why not stick one in front of the other?

and I know 2/3 of the Jam are touring.. without weller. But why not take some of that money you all have been saving for a smiths reunion/ rainy day and get a little rock and roll injection... weller needs a new house much more than... (fighting words alert!)

...morrisey needs (additional) sobbing men and brooding woman licking his balls.

anybody tell morrisey GV ran out of film during his 1999 performance yet?

That would rock in ways that have not even been invented yet. I think there is a better chance of a Smiths reunion though than FNM.

hahaha well put. I think a FNM reunion is plausible in the distant future, maybe in um, 7 to 10 years? Maybe by then Patton won't be juggling a million projects at once
