The best song of the night was 2 Rights. I have seen it before but it never packed that much of a punch! My fucking hair was moving from the bass coming off the speakers during the closing part. That may be one of the best songs I have ever heard live. Period.

So yeah, that was pretty incredible. That was almost a greatest hits show for me! Fantastic! It was nice catching a few of you at the end. I am sorry I couldn't stay longer to talk. Hopefully you will be coming tomorrow to Belly Up.

One can always get theoretically greedy and wish for more, but that show was so unbelievably fucking great - even by their standards, every song in the setlist was an A+ (even the three Hardcore tracks are the best of that album) and the band was in peak form. "Ratts" was somehow even better tonight than I remember from 2004; the extended climax literally short-circuited me, and then with "2 Rights" on its heels....they are just the best live band in the world.

On Hardcore i'd pick White Noise over Mexican GP. i don't like Mexican Grand Prix that much on the album...not that I'm complaining because the live version kicks ass...

They were awesome! Struggle for me to get there tonight, but made it. I'm not super familiar with Mogwai but the last three songs, Ratts of the Capital->2 Rights Make 1 Wrong->Glasgow Megasnake was epic. Fonda sounded good like it always does and a nice sized crowd on hand. Met up with some friends afterwards. Good times!

Have to put it out there... looking for one of the Tong posters if anybody got an extra. Have the two from the previous LA shows, bummed I missed that. Had to get in a trip to Amoeba. On the way I went to check out La Mirada disc golf course and got a parking ticket... oops. So I spent less than I planned on vinyl. But none of that matters much... fucking Mogwai. So good. 2 Rights was the highlight for me as well, but the entire show had me gripped. From Jim Morrison on was ridiculous. Even more excited for the Belly Up show now.

Seriously what an incredible show. Mogwai never cease to amaze me. The set was different enough from last years show that I was very pleased. Glasgow Mega Snake...definitely one of the best songs i've ever seen performed. They are on another level. If this really is the last LA show for a while, I'm glad it happened and I was front row for it, because it might be one of my favorite performances I've ever seen. There were moments that just shook my body it was so immense. Nice meeting some boardies as well!

No Canon Camera mics have been getting better. Mine has 2 mics at least. The one before had a single mic that was the size of a pinhole.

Jen & I wouldn't have gone to this show if not for those of you in this thread who've talked up Mogwai, so thanks everybody who contributes on a regular basis. That was pretty fucking great, all the more impressive to me considering how unfamiliar I am with their catalogue. I tend to get bored with artists whose music I'm not familiar with after about half an hour, but when they finished their main set 70 minutes after it started, I was surprised that it had gone so quickly. "2 Rights Make 1 Wrong" was incredible, one of the best live performances I've seen this year (and it would probably take me looking at set lists from other shows to find what else could possibly rival it). Jen described it as Howard Stern turning up the Sibian to full power. The bass coursing through the floor was intense!

Also, very glad to have hung out with so many infrequently seen friends & enjoy hours of drinks. (That came back to bite me hard today -- thought I was going 1-for-1 with Jen & that I thus had only had 5 beers, but they were apparently 20 ounces apiece and I haven't been drinking much lately so I was wickedly hungover till 5 today. Made getting on a plane & fighting back the urge to vomit a Herculean effort.) Also nice meeting Cutter (thanks again!) & his brother whose name I forget (swhite423 -- Sean?), corbo (again, sorry to blank on your name), and Gabe. I'll be eagerly awaiting Mogwai's return just like the rest of you.

NP! Glad you enjoyed the show and your time. And agreed with you and everyone else, 2 Right Make 1 Wrong is one of the best live performance I've ever experienced. Almost too much too handle.

Great great show tonight! I was in front right by Stuart, so it was a treat to see him operate. Some awesome shit (including the first Ex Cowboy since 2009), but I think last night's set packed a little bit more punch and had a little more diversity. I got my 4th MFMK now (out of 6 shows). I was hoping to avoid it since they hadn't played it this year, but no such luck. Oh well, it's a good song, but I think I have talked about it to death here so I will leave it be. Still an excellent show! Really bummed it will be awhile before I see them again.
