i understand that bands get excited by their new material and when they go out on the road, they want to play a lot of this new material and start phasing out standard songs out of their sets, but that set list really lacks some classics.

They are just giving the new songs some practice. They want to have them ready for the extensive tours. By the time they hit the US, Fear Satan will appear with frequency. Mogwai means trust.

They have a lot of festivals coming up that they will probably be playing a lot of the new songs at since they have an upcoming record. I am not very familiar with Mogwai and they might have played Mogwai Fear Satan for the encore but I am not really sure.

Also, like you said when they do their North American tour, it is not just an american tour, they will probably have a differet setlist.

Nope, looks like they played Helicon 1. Which is another song that could be considered a classic Mogwai song.

I like it. I don't love it immediately - if only because it doesn't build up in the way that Mogwai have spoiled us with so many times on previous songs - but it's got a cool feel to it.
