Album of the year so far, no question - they're doing 3 dates in London and i'm busy on them all. Seriously considering flying to Zurich to see them.

Tom and his church group will be protesting Coachella this year. I thought Goldenvoice was a little more liberal than to turn away a band because of its name. I could understand if it was offensive to a certain race, religion, sex or nationality, but the elderly don't count. They just suck up resources.

I don't find the band name offensive at all. (stupid, yes; offensive, no). I'm just saying that if the band really thought that they'd have clear sailing with a name like that, they're morons. And it's not a 'freedom of speech' issue either: Goldenvoice is a private commercial enterprise and they are fully within their rights to make decisions that they believe to be best for Coachella.

I agree with you Tom. I just wanted to start a riot. Its just surprising that Goldenvoice and AEG would care about a band name. Im sure that there is more to the non-invite than their name.

I don't know that they "care" about the band name. They probably "care" about having the band lineup printable in the newspaper, readable on the radio, etc.
