    Default Autechre

Just discovered them and I think they are amazing. I heard somewhere that Kid A was largeley based on their music and I didn't know that before. I love new amazing musical discoveries.

I love LP7 of theirs...amazing and epic...Thom described it as "finding a drawer with loads of shiny jewelery and going out dress with it all on" (Or something close to that)

What tracks have you heard so far?

If you like their hardcore glitcher drill stuff, get any of their 3 last albums and the Gantz Graf and ep7 eps. You will love them.
And if you like more their atmospheric, melodic stuff (ala Aphex's Selected Ambients works 85-92), get their first album Incunabula, or Amber. And if you don't know, get Tri Repetae or LP5, and then move back and forth between the earlier and later stuff.

I am pretty sure you will love them, so if you have the money buy all their albums, and listen to them in chronological order

I like their music, but when I saw them at the El Rey a few years ago, all I could hear was Bass, no matter where I went. It was really boring.

I special order that from Warp and got it the day of release. Fucking insane doesn't even begin to describe it, they need to come back to Coachella or at least come to Denver....

I remember before I knew anything about music I was in England and my friend got me to see them with Locust (not to be confused with the rock one), Seefeel, Aphex Twin and others. It was an amazing night!

1999. In the lower half of the lineup. I wish I could have gone, it was a sweet year for idm at Coachella.

Get their set, it's really nice. That Blifil/Microphone fiend mashup is very lovely.
