I really like OMD. They are not my favorite band, but I give them props. A newer British band that I really like is the Pigeon Detectives.

They all count, and the Rakes have a new album coming out very soon. Another British band I like is the Bees, formerly A Band of Bees.

yes Rakes our good. Love Art Brut way underrated and The Charlatans are one of my favorite bands as well. Every record is brilliant especially the one's that you don't get at first then after 5 listens you go fuck this is a fucking great record!

Art Brut were great at Coachella 2006. I missed them when they toured with the Hold Steady. I also love Belle & Sebastian, who are from Scottish, making them at least part of the United Kingdom.

the Scottish have a ton of great bands but my Scottish forever favorite band has to be THE WATERBOYS aka Mike Scott is genius!

The Waterboys are cool, but a band I like better with the word "boy" in their title is the Soft Boys. Another Scottish band I like is the Thrills. Someone should put a Thrills video on here, they are so brilliant.

Another band I like from England is Wire. Their video "Eardrum Buzz" has a lot of celebrity cameos, including Steve Martin, Bjork and Andy Fletcher from Depeche Mode. SOmeone should put that video on here off of Youtube.
