He'll turn 34 this year. The Rockies suck. And his numbers are on an accelerating 4 year decline. He's also pulling in almost $17 million, which is clearly way too much. Makes sense for the Rockies to try to move him.

At least the Sox baked this into the newly signed contract with Drew ...

Under the terms of the contract, if Drew goes on the disabled list in his third year for issues related to the shoulder for a proscribed length of time, the Sox have the option to void the final two years. If he winds up on the disabled list in his fourth year, the Sox have the option of voiding the final year.

I'm more concerned Trot Nixon is going to stick it to the Sox each time they face the Indians

Shawn Green does it to the Dodgers everytime. If Drew is healthy he is awesome. His Sept preformance really help the Dodgers make the playoffs.
