I'm going to start watching Battlestar Galactica without watching the mini series first. I've had these dvds for like 3 weeks and I didn't have a chance to find the mini series so I'm just going to piece together what's going on from the context clues. kttysbb

Quickish situation report:
Humans created cylons to do stuff for them. Cylons were smart. Rebelled and there was a big war. Then there was a treaty and they went away. The cylons developed humanoid robots (and have 12 diferent models) and attacked the 12 colonies and killed damn near everybody. The Galactica survived because it's old and doesn't use the new networked computer systems which Cylon spies sabotaged. The Galactica gathered up as many off-world ships as they could find and jumped away and began running. And now they're looking for the 13th colony, Earth.

Cylon humanoid robots aren't copies of humans; they're unique. But you can't tell they're not human. And they can be programmed to think they're human and thus are good sleeper agents. And when they die they get downloaded into new bodies. And all the copies are distinct (they have very similar personalities but different experiences, etc.)

It was pretty much all Baltar's fault. He halucinates (or something) a Six (but this Six is distinct from the one that tricked him on Caprica.) Rosyln was the Secretary of Education or something but she was the highest ranking member of the Government so now she's the president. She was in Sneakers.

I want to lose weight before going as well. I've signed up for a half marathon the weekend before Coachella in hopes it will motivate me to exercise.

My confession: I have not gone running for nearly a week now. If I don't get back in the saddle soon I'm totally screwed.
