You know who would be sick? DragonForce. I don't listen to much metal, but I can actually tolerate (and enjoy) DragonForce.

I claim this thread in the name of Lordi

It's cute that you think you can do that but this thread belonged to Hatebeak before it was even conceived.

Dragonforce?
GIVE ME ISIS!!!
hell yes! it's the arockalypse!
but seriously, in the spirit of reunion, let's get back to the fucking roots of desert rock. come oooonnn, kyuss!
at the very least QOTSA..... they still play a few heavy songs live.
or monda generator. they're not really metal, but nick oliveri sure is....
OK... now to be honest.. I would never buy a Dragonforce album, nore go to their shows... hell I even laughed when I learned that this freaking WICKED guitar Player Herman Li who I was watching was in a band called freaking "Dragonforce" BUT! I gotta back this one, Coachella is about diversity and there has not been any opera metal there as of yet to my knowledge... and IF THEY WERE playing a festival show I was at, I would definately dig stoping by their stage... being that I wasn't shelling out money JUST to see their silly (but very talented) asses
THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN. They destroy all other "metal bands" you think are worthy of Coachella.... DEP 2008, I'm starting to ask for them now.. Or to get Refused to reunite at some point.. That would rule...

There is these two dogs in Brooklyn who have released a few death metal albums.
I second this claim of clamation.
Lordi is actually in the USA during April, I want some vegans in monster outfits and intensive makeup to rock my desert concert experience.

Bring Me The Horizon - Currently creeping their way up the UK metal scene. Despite their huge fringes they're pretty ace... myspace.com/bmth

Yeah Metal would be nice. The closest thing to metal I've seen at Coachella was The Locust. Hey maybe Helmet will come out and do "Army of Me" with Bjork. I'd shit myself if that happened.
What about Don Caballero? Or the Sword?

Coachella does not need metal, the tents are adequate and protective enough.

I think poison the well should play so that a certain someone will stop being lame and come to coachella with me.
Fantomas, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails, and Thrice are all somewhat metal/heavier rock/other and have played. I'd be down for Meshuggah at Coachella! Isis and Dragonforce would be chill like lunchtime bands at Coachella for sure.
A heavier band that played Coachella in 2005 that I like is the Blood Brothers, but I do not consider them to be metal.
