I mostly buy CDs from the merch table at shows, or online from the record label. Then I rip the CDs to my mp3 player and then put them in my car. CDs win over buying the mp3s because I get pretty album art, I have a backup in case my computer crashes, and I can play them in my car.
I realize this is somewhat antiquated thinking.
"i dont buy music, i download it for free" should be another option, cuz the best music is free music! woo hoo!
Vinyl, because why buy what you can make for free at home.
Is anyone else tired of buying a CD only to find a crappy, two-page booklet of art that isn't good, or worse, a CD in a cardboard case with no artwork? Not exactly a good way to stop people from downloading...
If I'm going to pay for music I want the cd, so I can get the booklet it comes with.
I get my tapes and compact discs through the Columbia House ad whenever my monthly issue of Good Housekeeping arrives.
