August 1 - 3, 2008. The dates have officially been set, so it looks like Lollapalooza goes on for at least one more year.

you got that email too eh?
yeah i thought I read that they're set to have it at Grant Park til like 2010 or something
Let's make a fake lollapalooza poster!
I had alot of fun at this years Lolla, but i perfered Coachella. And wow, walking from At&T to Bud Light stage is seriously like 15min, its a huge bitch. I dont think ill be going back, unless the lineup is unreal. I hope Coachella is like Pukkelpop 07...anything with Ed Banger is good with me.
Upcoming Shows:
Pitchfork Festival: 7/19 @ Union Park
Mountain Oasis Festival: 10/25-27
Coachella: 4/11-13 @ Empire Polo Fields
i had fun at lolla

They're good for another 7 years at Grant Park is what I've heard.
I had a blast at Lolla this past year & met Patti Smith.
2005 was the best though with Dinosaur Jr.,Pixies, & Billy Idol. Plus there were only 4 stages & they were all on one field which was the baseball diamond field. Plus there were no corporate asshole fascist sponsers! Like AT&T.
miscorrections is that the album cover for riot city blues by primal scream as your avatar? i'm too lazy to look it up

Glastonbury 08 better have some good headliners since this year's stunk.
Radiohead enough?
Really? I thought the sound bleed was incredibly annoying with so many stages crammed in. And if memory serves, it was sponsored by SBC, which does seem like the definition of a corporate asshole sponsor to me.
I don't get the animosity directed toward the sponsors - tickets are cheaper and if you are distracted by ad banners that much, maybe you should be at a stage where the band doesn't suck so that you read the stage rather than watch them...
A teenage dream, so hard to beat...
The sound bleed was a little annoying at times I guess, it was just where you were positioned that determined how bad it was. I really don't have a problem with corporate sponsors but I do have a problem with corporate sponsors that release live recordings of the show & censor the artists. This is America not communist China or WWII era Germany. Lollapalooza & the music scene in general have always fought against censorship. Why tolerate it now, have we really become that subservient? I personally will never be a consumer of any AT&T products willingly. Another thing that pissed me off was that they roped off the nice grassy gnoll left of the main stage for VIP this past year. Guess I was VIP for all of 2005 cause thats where I chilled pretty much all weekend.
If you are referring to the Pearl Jam thing, you really need to get over it. Comparing 10 seconds of yet another PJ political rant being cut to WWII era Germany is ludicrous.
If you are talking about something else, please feel free to elaborate as to how a company can be communistic.

Headliners:
Friday: Radiohead
Saturday: Rage Against the Machine
Sunday: Kanye West
I have heard nothing else.
Extremely reliable source. Sorry if this has been posted somewhere else.
The lack of Jack Johnson as headliner makes your statement invalid.
I was actually thinking that RATM might be the main headliner this year. Call it a hunch, and a wish of mine.
pitchfork fest was better.
