I told him to have a good show and he seemed genuinely surprised when he said thank you. I am guessing because I didn't ask him to sign my chest or something. I know a lot of people here aren't fans or think not very highly of him, but the Pumpkins were a big chunk of what I listened to growing up so it was kind of a big deal for me.

pumpkins definitely have a special place for me too. i agree that the new stuff sucks, but man, from gish up until melancholy was some amazing stuff! im going to see them tonight actually. when i called the box office to get set times, they said they had the pumpkins down as 8-11. Are they really playing 3 frickin hours? that would be sweet as long as its not filled with new stuff. i havent been really paying attention to current news and setlists, etc.
