It's funny how I couldn't watch more than 30 seconds of that before I had to turn it off in agony.

    But this NEVER gets old...

The only place I've ever heard it is the movies (Thanks, Screenvision (tm)!)

BUT...first time I heard it, I said "Agh, Screenvision changed the music finally, and it's even lamer."

Second time, my wife said "I don't know, the jury's still out on this"

    "Yeah, it's OK."

Third time, my wife said "Would you be embarrassed if I said I kind of like this?"

    "No, it's OK."

TENTH Time- "CHANGE IT CHANGE IT CHANGE IT".

They finally pulled it last time I went, so I doubt I'll hear it again, until it's on some Lee Jeans ad or something.

Some days, YouTube seems like one of the most important inventions of my generation. And yet....there are other days where I feel like I stole the wrong nerd's Star Trek novella in high school, and said nerd invented YouTube solely to ensure that I would be subjected to soul-crushing, "interpretive" dance montages to god-awful songs by emotionally-incapable children on an intermittent basis. Needless to say, the punishment does not fit the crime.

The truly scary part is that I don't think it's a child. I've changed my position here. I think it's a dwarf. An interpretive dancing dwarf.

I just noticed that kid has an Acceptance shirt on. I used to like those guys. It doesn't seem like he's really paying attention to what he's doing. It's like he's just reading off a teleprompter or something. There's no soul.

BTW...that song is a perfect example of the "It's the singer, not the song"

Ednaswap writes and records "Torn"...It's epic and heartbreaking. No one pays any attention to it.

Natalie Imbruglia covers "Torn"...It's awful cheezy pop crap...sells a billion records...somehow gets her on the cover of Spin.

Smart ass comedian mimes "Torn" literally...It's frickin hilarious, gets downloaded a billion times.

Smart-ass comedian performs mime live WITH Natalie Imbruglia...It sucks again...

Plain White Tee's played a concert here in Fresno, it was crazy how much they were hated, and this was months and months ago. the first few rows were a bunch of prepubescent with shirts that said like, I AM DELILAH and THIS IS MY PLAIN WHITE T and shit like that. Well when they started singing people would just blurt out responses to lines in the song.
Like that line "I'll pay the bills with my guitar" someone yelled No you won't you suck!
ok that wasn't inventive but it set off a whole barrage.
He'd sing "Oh what you do to me" and someone one would yell WITH A STRAP ON.
Then somone yelled "Get over her already - I'm fucking her now... and your sister"

It was nuts, thre crowds here rarely have any respect for performers they haven't heard of but it was out of control.
yeah and it still made me laugh.
    I miss Bill Hicks.

Sure, maybe it was cheezy, but I thought Natalie Imbruglia had a much better voice (and arrangement) than the other chick.

How about this? I have NEVER heard the song. My younger daughter had asked me to download it, but I refused (it just sounded bad).

Mob, it sounds like you didn't try hard enough.
