I would guess that the impact from the meteor has contaminated the atmosphere either with radiation or other particulates from the soil and now people are breathing it and getting sick.

The bacteria they found at Mars lived deep beneath the surface, and earth has similar primitive bacteria that live in such conditions. I'm not saying they are alive, I'm just speculating.

It was in Peru,on the border with Bolivia.It probably set a few coca fields ablaze.Are they sure the people aren't just cracked out of their skulls?

Geologists have said people's health issues had nothing to do with the meteor impact, but looks like the cause of that illness might be some arsenic produced during the impact of the meteor. Actually, radiation residues have been ruled out, and doctors are analyzing some blood tests to determine if there are other illnesses involved.

I didnt know they found bacteria on Mars. The reason I called you out was that space is missing the key elements that all cells (bacteria) need to survive.
