I really hope that they're on the poster but only if they play at night...I've seen them play during the day and it's not even close to the same experience.

They're big enough now that they'd definitely play at night. In the Sahara.

I saw them in a small 100 person local club here last year, they KILLED it. Singer dude (dont know his name) came out and started a dance circle in the crowd and sung in the middle of it, it was amazing.

(i guess they had some make good to the place because they bailed 3 years earlier due to an illness. It worked out great for me: SMALL venue, $10 ticket, great crowd, 3 blocks from my house).

No, but im there at least three times a week. I didnt really know who they were at the time but i saw they were plaing so i gave um a listen. Never made it that night, but i did catch the end of their set @ Street Scene. Talk about a kick ass dance party!!!!!

Calmer, im actually going to Detroit tonight. My good buddys "My Pet Saddle" are playing. Probably opening. There playing w/ Mothers Sons (kind of a bad rip-off of Cold War Kids if you ask me)

Anywho, you should def come down and check it out. Its 21+ and its free.

Do you know who the GROWLERS are? Theyve made a big name for themselves in Mesa. They live off 19th and Placentia, they always play Detroit and the Avalon and eVocal.

Hmmm, you know, to be honest i dont really frequent that place at all. In fact, the ghostland show was the only time ive been there. it was pretty cool. pretty hipster too, but some hot chicks running around.

I am on a self imposed NO GOING OUT DURING THE WEEK regiment, have been for the last 3 years. i cant just have a cocktail or two, and i have to wake up at 6 everyday so i just cook and sit on the couch. sometime ill come out to a weekend show there if you give me a heads up, well grab a beer.

also, they DID kill it at street scene, i loved that set (lasers FTW).

have fun tonight! i live just down the street off victoria.

haha im actually in recovery (when it comes to booze). Have been for the last two years, not a single drop. Thats why i love Detroit so much, the bartenders are the coolest when it comes to just ordering a water. You cant imagine the amount of shit i get just trying to get some f*ing H2o.

I smoke reefer like theres no tomorrow though. Next time theres a weekend show ill def give you a heads up, or if me not drinking would help you come out during the week let me know.

HAHA! no no, its not that i have a problem (lol), its just that i dont really want to go to a bar unless i can get shitty TBH. i can just have a beer or two, but i dont see the point. and i can get shitty, but i wake up early for the gym at 6 and those two dont go along too well together.

good to hear you are sober though. i smoke too, so we could blaze and check out a good band sometime

I dont know, after seeing their live show twice it's starting to get a bit gimmicky for me. I do like the lead singer's boxing punch dance moves though.

It's all lasers and hype. I enjoy drugs and lasers just like everybody else, but the music doesn't stand on its own. And it's laughable that Aaron frequently compares himself to Prince and Freddie Mercury.

Aaron is a talent thats without question, but I think he compares himself to prince and freddie mercury the same way college qbs compare their game to peyton manning, tom brady or drew brees. If I were to compare Aaron to one of the greats than I would say freddie mercury is accurate

saw them in 09, fucking floored.

saw them again in...late 09? in tucson at the rialto. front rail again, destroyed.

their next album was kind of boring, but definitely better than anything in the sahara this year (barring maybe noisia).
