i would say that it is what their music contains that others lacks that i like about arcade fire and radiohead. it is rare you can find a band with the layers of arcade fire. it is also rare that you can find a band that is always so advanced in its genre for that era. think of when Ok computer was released.1997. what was the other music then? i mean it was fucking no doubt and Madonna singing dont cry for me argentina.
