    Default Lord of the Flies

Is anyone else being inundated with flies? We haven't had a single fly in this apartment since we moved here 14 months ago, but over the last few days, me and the lady have killed 8. We haven't been keeping our doors or windows open, so I don't know where these fuckers are coming from.

We are thinking there might be a dead body next door or something. That place always smells like death, although that may be the atrocious Asian food that gets eaten every night.

    Likewise... stupid September weather.

Doesn't help that I have to murder at least a dozen a day at work...

    You need one of these.

We had no screens on the windows in my apartment in San Francisco so that thing was quite useful.

Yeah I don't get it. I have seriously dry-heaved from the smell of some of the food. Yet, these people actually eat it. It blows my mind. You summed it up pretty well though: ass and garlic. That's actually a good band name.

Nope, and nope. There is nothing that we are doing differently, so it really has me stumped.

Will any tennis racket do, or is this a special one?

See the little metal wires? They are electrified. So you swat at the fly and it zaps it and kills it instantly. It's pretty fun.

I figured that's what it was, but I thought I would be a smartass. How much do those things run? I would love to get something like that. Does it work on all insects? Because I would love to fry the dozens of spiders we get on a regular basis.

    Special Price: $22.95

says the website I got the picture from.

I think it would be tricky with spiders because they can't really be on the ground or a wall for it to work. But it might work if they were hanging from the ceiling or something. Please report back if you try.

That's definitely doable. I think I might have to get one of these for my everyday life. I can shock people I don't like.

And I will definitely report back. Thanks for the help!

Spiders are good luck don't tase them.
Go ahead and tase people though.

They don't give too strong of a shock to people. Just enough to kill a creepy crawly.

Our neighbors had a horse that was penned pretty close to our back door. The flies were awful last year. Luckily, they just got rid of it.

My Husky can't feel them when they land on her thick fur. So I'll walk out, and there will be 100 flies on her, and she just doesn't care. Nasty. My Setter never has any...I guess she shakes them off.

Damn, looks like the woman has killed another 6 this morning and says there are about 20 more flying around. I hate those punk ass bitches. I got to come up with a serious game plan here. Any suggestions in addition to the tennis racket of doom?

Someone once told me that hanging plastic bags of water outside your windows and doors might help. I've never tried it, because it sounds like BS to me. But, it seems that you are up to trying anything at this point. Good luck, Lord Luckyface.

My dad has one of those and my brother and I decided to see how serious of a charge it had. My brother went first and apparently did it wrong because it didn't even shock him so then I went at it with abandon and just the surprise was as powerful as the shock.

It's probably the heat last that encouraged such an explosion of flies.
