Never mind...

When I first saw there was a band called Smoosh playing Lollapalooza, I hoped it was the apathetically sarcastic Oasis proxy created by Bob Odenkirk and David Cross back when they were doing "Mr. Show". Unfortunately the Shropshire brothers in that Smoosh don’t exist, and even if they did, they were last seen trapped on a promotional trip to the moon, so we won't be treated to cuts from their album Space Age Super Suit in Grant Park. Nope, it seems the only thing they have in common with the non-fictional Smoosh is that both bands are made up of siblings. The actual Smoosh is a pair of teenage sisters from Seattle whose piano-driven indie rock has been encouraged by Death Cab for Cutie drummer Jason McGerr. The older sister is just 15, but they’ve already put two albums out and their music shows some depth alongside plenty of youthful spirit. (Sunday, 1:45-2:30, BMI Stage) --text: Noah Levine

I am seeing the Aggrolites next weekend at Bumbershoot. Aggrolites + Gogol Bordello = fun weekend.

Yo Gabba Gabba is amazing. I almost wish I had a pre-schooler, JUST so they could watch this show.
