Not to mention, Anton Corbijn is amazing. I'm excited to see his first feature up on the big screen, and you all should too.

That couldn't have been one post?

Anyway, I've always been a NO fan first and a JD fan second, but, I mean, by all accounts the band WAS moving in the NO-ish direction, so it remains to be seen as to what could have truly been possible.

Still, to say that Ian's death was the worst thing to happen to NO isn't exact either...
    Upcoming Shows:
    * Dillon Francis + Anamanaguchi -- December 28th

Going to Weekend 1 of Coachella 2014

I do like New Order too, though.Never seen them live, but haven't heard too many good things about their live show.I almost saw them open for PiL at a skate rink (Billy Barty Roller Fantasy) in Fullerton in 83.I almost saw them again at a show they did at Irvine Meadows in 85,where someone got stabbed.I also missed out on that show they did with the Sugarcubes.

The Technique tour was pretty good.

I saw this really great New Order concert on television. I believe it was airing December 2004, or at least that is when I recorded it. It brought up my hopes for their 2005 performances, which did not go well... The one on the TV was an AMAZING concert though. I wish they played a similar set, but at Coachella it seemed like they were to busy promoting their new album, as well as the Joy Division compilation that was being released.

Although, I did enjoy listening to Love Will Tear Us Apart.

That's what they're known for, and is why I kinda liked their 05 performance. I'm a huge fan of them, and seeing em for the first time at Coachella will always be something special. If you want some good stuff though, track down their live shows from 1983-1985...excellent stuff.

my dream New Order setlist would include the following:

    586
Your Silent Face (still bummed this wasn't played at Coachella)
Age of Consent (hasn't been played since 1989!)
The Perfect Kiss (they finally started playing this again last year)
    Chosen Time
    Confusion
    Blue Monday
    Temptation
Touched by the Hand of God
    True Faith
Bizzare Love Triange (non remix version)
    Sister Ray
    Love Will Tear Us Apart
    Digital
    Isolation

It sucks that Control was not nominated for best picture. At least Juno was, Ellen Page is a great actress, but the girl that palyed Ian CUrtis's wife in COntrol is an even better actress.

Hi to you too, how about that Control flick. The soundtrack is amazing. I hope several movie careers are launched due to the movie Control.
